Today will feel a different way...

Hrm.

So. Last night, sis came in to get the car at work... And found out Dad had done something nasty to his foot and Mum took him to the ER.

I got home from work before they did. But. Dad's foot is broken. One of the tiny little bones inside. Apparently, the nurse said it was one place, the doctor said it was another. *dryly* Confidence, baby, confidence.

So. Dad's supposed to not walk on the foot and use crutches. Uhuh. He almost refuses to use them.

It looks painful.

And he won't get it that it will take longer to fix if he doesn't use them.

GAH. It makes me so fucking angry to see him doing this. Willful self-destruction.

Sounds familiar, really.

annd... I just lost any idea as to what I was going to say. gnight.

How to raise parents...

Sometimes I think Parents have a lot of nerve complaining that their kids are stubborn.

A couple years ago, my mother was rushed to the hospital with internal bleeding on Easter. If she had told everyone in the morning that she threw up blood, we would have rushed her to the hospital, but ooooooh nooooooo, she didn't want to ruin Easter, so she just "ignored it"

Why don't parents ever seem to realize that when they refuse to do what is best for their health, they hurt their kids too?

Ack.

Exactly. I'll admit mom's pretty good about going to the doctor when needed.

But, even then, she's got a REALLY high pain threshold. If she says it hurts, it DOES...
