Speaking of reboots, Heathers

Has anyone seen the trailer for the Heathers reboot?

Now. It's bad. It is so fucking bad.

I want it to burn in a fire, and the creators to be banned from ever producing media ever again.

You know what else is bad? The new live-action Reboot. Seriously, guys. If you wanted to have your self-insert OC computer people fic, why not just use Tron? It's not like Tron isn't perfect for that.

Anyway. Rantiness aside.

I just watched the trailer and it looks worse than Glee. Count me out.

I just don't know why they thought rebooting it as ... that was a good idea. (at least the original had style and a point)

OMG, YOU KNOW REBOOT! ♥_♥ I love it so much. Bob, Enzo, Andraia & Dot FTW! I saw the trailer for the "reboot" and I think we've got a winner for the worst reboot ever. Though the Heathers reboot looks terrible too (I haven't seen the original, so this comment is based on the trailer for the original and the trailer for the reboot).

I blame Nique & Alryssa for my induction into Reboot. When it was actually airing, I'd finally hit the "too old for cartoons" thing, I think? idk.

Anyway, I loved it, especially Mouse and Dot (I like AndrAIa, too!).

And the trailer just. IDEK what they were thinking, but it's bad.

I am so disappointed for both of these. That movie appears hateful and not at all funny. The series looks like a "eff you" to every fan ever.

I feel like they were trying to update it, and no one really sat down and went "maybe this is a bad idea". Instead, they were all going "This will be so cutting edge and relevant!"

It can't be worse than the live action Jem and the Holograms movie, can it? I did see the Reboot trailer and was completely confused. It didn't really seem to have anything to do with the original show, admitted I barely remember it.

As far as I can tell, they basically went "we want a property where they can play in AI/computer-land, but Tron is still in copyright... oh, hey, there's this Reboot thing." and then used that as a framework.

Except then they decided to copy Power Rangers and use teenagers.

(I hadn't heard about the Jem thing. I'll have to look into that)
