YOu GUYS. Like, I keep not skipping when Amy's Choice plays at work, and I HAVE SO MANY FEELINGS about season five because of it. And I miss Eleven and the Ponds due to that fact. ANYWAY. (and then I backtrack to end of Eleventh Hour because waiting hurts and then I skip to the middle of Venice because I'd forgotten HOW ANGRY HE WAS--and it's the anger he has in the Dalek episode, too)
I keep minimizing everything to stare at my desktop (because I have feelings about the women on it, and I miss them and also don't want to tempt fate by reading their comics right now, I mean, aside from the Marvels.)
ANYWAY. Someone told me Gail Simone is going to write a Domino limited series. And Timey didn't even have to sacrifice any small children!
I foresee more desktops in my future.
I managed to produce two ficlets for fandom stocking! I produced my requisite two fics for the year and it's not even the third week in Jan! Go, me.
And now, a tiny tiny (probably the Guy Ritchie movies Sherlock Holmes version) Irene Adler(/Mary Morstan) ficlet. It is technically from 2017.
Irene Adler - falsely imprisoned
It is always terribly annoying when one is banged up for something one hasn't done. Irene Adler sat in her cell and wondered whether she'd overplayed her hand, this time?
Of all the things to bring her in for, they'd chosen the one Mary had framed her with.
To be fair, that did make it rather fitting when Mary broke her out later that night.

I miss Eleven and the Ponds. They will always and forever be my favorite Doctor and Companion unit and season five is far and beyond my favorite season of New Who.

And Mary is so hungover at her wedding, but Watson is worse (because Jude Law did look rather hungover, and I blame Sherlock for that).
Mostly because my headcanon is that the two grifted through Europe together and separately, and Mary wants a family, and she picks John Watson for his brushes with danger/Sherlock Holmes, and also because he is a nice guy (and she does love him, she does, but she loves Irene, too). And most of her appearances with Sherlock are a facade -- the ink on her cheek was very carefully cultivated (and yes I have watched that scene one too many times, and she gets her slap timed perfectly)
I do find it hilarious that my headcanon for the Ritchie movies is similar to the one Moff gave Sherlock Mary. Although mine came first. And mine wasn't an assassin.
I don't remember if my headcanon Mary ever comes clean to John. But Irene is most certainly not dead, as she helped her fake death to get away from Moriarty.
What's really weird for me (sort of) is that I've never had, a, well, favorite Doctor. Not until Eleven, and I was (and remain) surprised at how much he got under my skin.
And while Clara and Twelve together are the most selfish people in existence (like, Rose and Ten were awful, too, but Twelve and Clara just raise it to a whole new level). And I LOVE THEM. And I don't understand why. But I blame Clara.
But even then, the Ponds and Eleven are like my gold-standard for the new series, because they were incredibly entertaining and fun and just.. I loved everything about them, even Rory -- because he got to grow and change, and it's really hard not to like him once he became the last centurion. And not because he waited but because he changed for Amy and she changed for him, and they are just... ugh. Happily married people traveling on the TARDIS? HOW OFTEN do shows give us that sort of thing?
RARELY. It's either trite will-they-won't-they or everyone is cheating or unhappy or dysfunctional.
...and that rambled all over the place. O.o

Well...that we know of, at least. ;)
