Paranoid, season 1 (eps 1-3)

I hadn't intended to watch more than a few minutes to see if it was something I'd enjoy.

Two and a half episodes later, and I have to pause to say this.

THE PLACE TO TELL SOMEONE ABOUT SOMETHING RELATED TO A MURDER (ie, about the person who's been feeding you clues) IS NOT WHEN YOUR ALMOST GIRLFRIEND IS ABOUT TO GO DOWN ON YOU.

Way to kill the mood, Alec. Way to kill the fucking mood.

Which is to say, I'm quite enjoying it, and it is really really gorgeously-shot. I've gotten a ridiculous number of screencaps just because the angles/lighting/etc (it's why I fell in love with Motive, too).

Well, and Indira Varma is pretty.

Anyway, it's slow-moving, but interesting enough to keep me watching. It's a bit like Five Days, if anyone's watched that (well, the second series as that's the one I've seen).

Also, it's a bit disconcerting as Lesley Sharpe is in it as not Janet Scott. Or a copper.

Tell me if the 'i must have a baby' thing eases up in the plot? Because I wanted to love this show so much but that kind of grated on me too much. You're half an episode deeper than I got.

I love Scott and Bailey its my favourite Brit Tv Bar none. Have you tried Happy Valley? It by the same writer, its dark but really good. I might actually check out Paranoid. Indira Varma has always given me pause since she was kind of bad in Luther.
