Luc Besson is giving us another superheroine movie. This time with ScarJo. It ain't Black Widow, but I don't give a shit. It looks awesome. (thank god for Besson's id, is all I gotta say)

Not reading that article until I've seen Captain America, but. But. I wouldn't have gotten past the opening to that trailer if it hadn't been you posting it. That said: Holy fuck, that looks unbelievably like everything I ever wanted in a superhero movie WITH A WOMAN. Especially with Scarlet Johansen. Is there any chance I can talk you into visiting Chicago and going to see it with me? (I am hoping to talk A.j. into going too.)

YES. And I am sure it's going to have bits that are going to be annoying. bUT I DO NOT CARE.

And yes, I will come down to Chicago to watch it, because I was already going to ask if people wanted to get together to see it.

AWESOME. That you will be there. I think there will always be bits of movies that will be annoying, but this one looks, on the whole, like id candy to me.

I was not expecting that trailer to go where it did when I saw it in the theater on Friday, but by the end I was nodding and said, out loud, "I'm there."

That article is EXACTLY my thoughts when people say that Black Widow "didn't do anything except look hot" in The Avengers. Yeah. That was SO all she did in that movie. /sarcasm

And Lucy looks interesting! We shall see.

That article sums up so much of what makes me angry about the reaction to Natasha (and the other women, honestly--every time someone says "Jane is just the love interest in Thor", I want to punch them. The movies STARTS WITH HER, ffs ahem. I have strong feelings on this) in the movies. It's like, they just can't win.
