Random Person of Interest thoughts (spoilers for 3x12)

I will go to bed shortly, but this thought has to be recorded for posterity (even if I went and edited into my comment over on the episode post at the Carter community)

YOU GUYS. Root is the Leoben of Person of Interest.

SHE HAS A DESTINY. Or the Machine has a Destiny and Root was there to torture show Control the Way to her own Destiny.

Also, I sort of think of her as the love-child of a Six and a Two (and crossover ideas are un-needed, and yet, they theme of Technology and AI is kiillllling usssss from the finale could be alleviated by Root's AI is God karma)

(if all of this has happened before, then whyyyy is the machine God(s) this time and not humanity? idek)

erm.

But yes, 3x12 fulfilled multiple kinks of mine (even if oooooow, Oh, Root. :/).

GUYS. Control is amazing and ruthless and I loooove her. I also appreciate that she is not dead and that Decima (which was always hilariously better at spying than MI-5) is back.

I am at the point where I am like, "Show, you are giving me all the things--which rug are you going to yank from under me next?" (because Carter is and was my gateway drug and I love her, but Root and Shaw and Control are also RIGHT THERE, and Zoe Morgan could always come back for a drink)

ok, except for the Reese bits. He is sort of dull right now. Fusco is being amazing, but Reese is dull.

I really liked Arthur and Finch and the allusions of baby machines = real children and how fathers and sons interact. Or however one wishes to put that. I am also laughing that no one picked out the switch of the drives and OH another baby machine.

Two AIs, no waiting. Any takers? =D

The bit at the end when Root speaks for the Machine to Control was amazing, and leaned very heavily on the Root is the Voice of God the Machine themes.

Root was amazing! But Control was so cruel to her! T___T

I'm not liking the manpain either. Actually, nobody seems to like it, it's just so extreme.

I'd just like to point out that Root waited until Shaw was in direct danger before coming in to save the day. ;)

What I liked was how Shaw started smiling just before Root started shooting and then Root tells her to take everyone to safety and leave her but she keeps looking back if Root is coming. They also shoot together at things and you know that for them it's like the best kind of bonding. Shaw was also the one trying to convince Finch to let Root help. They are already behaving like a team. I just need more.

The high frequencies is probably how machine talked to Root when she was imprisoned by Finch - letting her know what is happening outside and how to get out of the prison. Maybe Shaw knows - she is the only one young enough to hear it too.

And now Root is going to try to rescue Machine's brother.
