I liiive

1. Truly, I do. I am, however, like two weeks behind on reading my flist (and it will stay that way until I've watched Time of the Doctor, sorry). Also, there's some weirdness in that even before I was behind, I'd see posts on Dreamwidth that never cross-posted to LJ. So. Idek what's up with that.

2. There are at least two ongoing fics being posted to my flist. I will read them, I swear. Er, I just dislike reading in short spurts. I want it alllllll at once, baby.

3. Went to my parents' for the holidays. My brother is not speaking to them. I can't with them sometimes. (thank goodness for living faaaar away)

4. I am behind on pretty much ALL of the tv (except possibly POI? idk), and I'm not entirely sure I care enough about Haven to actually watch the two-part finale (William is so dull, people. so so so dull)

5. I still lament the cancellation of Primeval: New World. It was sooo bad, but so entertaining. *sads*

6. I think I've re-read all of my favorite regency romances (bar Emma Jensen's original quad). I didn't intend to, but then the Hampshire Hoyden sucked me in (it is Much Ado set in Regency England, how can I not), and once I've read that, the other four Michelle Martin books are inevitable (The Adventurers is MOSCOW RULES in rural Regency England. And cross-dressing. Unf). And Cindy Holbrook speaks to my id and Marian Devon has heroines shooting heroes. Siiigh. I am so easy.

7. I feel certain I am forgetting things. Oh well.

I enjoyed the Haven finale more than not, but am withholding judgement until I see how some things play out in season 5. (Assuming there is one.)

New Marple today.

Also, Amazon has a lot of British shows of sale (or did yesterday) including some steep discounts on the McEwan Marples, Foyle, Rosemary & Thyme, etc.

I think I'll do what I did last year and just wait until the new season (I haven't felt any urge to watch it, and I've spoiled myself all over the place, so). I just. idk. William really killed my interest in the show.

I found the new Marple. I saw the sale, too. But I bought a ton of stuff over the Black Friday/Christmas period (also, lord only knows if our department will still exist in a month, so spending money is a bit off the table right now).

YES. Why cannot the tvs cater to me? sigh.

Ugh, William. Get a less interesting villain, show. I like Colin Ferguson and he had potential in those barn episodes but wow, did it go all wrong. I saw bits of the finale but never managed to go back and watch the whole thing. I doubt I will unless I hear a certain something about season 5, assuming there is one at all.

In other news, I've watched almost the entire first season of Person of Interest. I'm saving the last two episodes until I can get my hands on season 2. I really like it. Even with Carter having a smaller role, it's still a good show. And she got more involved as the season went on so it kept getting better :)

I <3 Ferguson. I think he's a really nice guy, and I'm glad he's getting work. BUT OMG I CANNOT STAND WILLIAM.

HAH. She is so amazing, she just. I flail every time I think about her (seriously, I don't care what behind-the-scenes bullshit there was, I think the writers did amazing things with her, and ALL of the PoI female characters--even if they do focus on the dudes a lot more than I'd like)

Carter is so amazing. As is Zoe Morgan. I need to re-watch 3x03 again soon. Because Carter + Zoe + Shaw = YESPLEASE.

THAT EPISODE. Like, the plot makes ZERO SENSE, mfirefly. It makes ZERO SENSE. But that doesn't matter, because it is TOTALLY window-dressing for CARTER, ZOE AND SHAW WALK INTO A BAR. (and also apparently meet up. On occasion. Sometimes.) Also, Shaw and Carter have excellent timing.

After I watched 3x08-3x09, 3x03 was one of the episodes that convinced me to watch more, tbh. (The other being the one where Root + Shaw worked together and had ridiculous chemistry.) But with 3x03, I just adored seeing those ladies interact and compare guns and shoes and whatnot. And Zoe teasing Carter about being too tense and Shaw being ready to punch anyone who got too close. OH, and the bonus of Shaw commenting on Reese's jealousy/concern over Carter's date. Shaw sees Reese/Carter, too!

It was a really good episode, basically :)
