sff: Person of Interest 3x2-8

I have been rather silent, I suppose.

Mostly because this show has been so utterly amazing that I just am maybe afraid to talk about it?

idk.

OMG THIS EPISODE.

"I need you to pay someone a visit." someone needs to write all the Carter as a dirty-cop AUs. or mob boss!Carter. idek.

SHE IS SO AMAZING.

And competent. And I love that she basically STARTED A WAR BETWEEN THE RUSSIANS AND HR. That shouldn't be hot. It totally shouldn't. And yet. Joss Carter, will you marry me?

Also, she called in back-up when she needed it. And the FBI. !!!

I just want to draw hearts all over the writers. HEARTS ALL OVER THEM.

Also, her backstory, and how it ties straight back to the very first episode where she tells John she understands that some guys just have trouble adjusting. THE CONTINUITY, IT HURTS. In a good way. OH, Joss. All the identification she had with John, just--a whole new level.

(I appreciate that her ex isn't dead!)

And that was after 3x3 and its BATWOMAN, CATWOMAN AND HUNTRESS WALK INTO A BAR plot. (I'm pretty sure I had been hoping for the three of them to meet and hang out--AND THEN THEY COMPARED HEELS AND GUNS <3)

3x4. idek. I probably liked it (was that the one where Carter got to use her interrogation chops and be badass? because I lied that. And I liked Reese falling for it and also his ambivalence at the end.)

3x5. Shaw and the kid! HEHEHEHEHEHE. And her backstory, which was hear-breaking, but unsurprising. And also Harold and his grin when he got to blow up a building (by proxy). ALSO ALSO the hug.

3x6. EVERYTHING I HAVE EVER WANTED EVER. SHAW AND ROOT TEAM UP AND SAVE THE WORLD. It was. I don't even have words. It was amazing.

3x7. Tense and heart-breaking (LASKEY :/ and I love how he'd come over to Carter's side). The con artist bit was all right, but his girlfriend was totally obviously a grifter. GO HER for being badass and still getting her score at the end of the day.

I am sure I am forgetting a hundred things I loved about the episodes. ALL I KNOW IS THAT I CANNOT WAIT but I am also nervous as hell. Someone is going to die, and I'm not sure it's the obvious suspect of Fusco.

ALSO. Can we talk about how there are three very prominent women who are getting their own storylines and plots and character arcs? And sometimes even interact? BECAUSE THAT IS NOT SOMETHING THAT HAPPENS ON ACTION SHOWS unless the women are someone's love interest. AND NONE OF THEM IS A LOVE INTEREST.

THIS SHOW. I cannot with it.

ETA: I just watched Joss Carter ENACT A NATE FORD PLAN. Right down to anticipating when everything would go south and turning it to her advantage. <3

They are all amazing women and I would ship Shaw/Carter like whoa if I wasn't already obsessed with Root/Shaw.

AGREED. I am suuuuuuuper excited about marathoning this over Christmas break. It's like, MY CHRISTMAS PRESENT TO ME. And I finally get to see season 2! (There was no way for me to watch it until WB and CBS figured their shit out back in September and finally put it up for VOD sale.) YAY, DVD's.

Also. OMG. JOSS CARTER. SAM SHAW. ZOE MORGAN. ROOT.

Pretty much everything you said. I so loved Shaw and Root teaming up for mischief and actually doing more for the plot than the boys, as they kinda ended up running about three steps behind everyone. ;)

Dude - Zoe, Joss & Shaw comparing guns, stunners and shoes? Made my night! :D

I have not watched last night's ep yet - had much to do today and will cue it up after dinner.

I love, love, love how they have 3 strong women and NONE of them are in a relationship with anyone!

This is the best season of PoI so far and it is right now my favourite show. i wasn't so keen on it at the beginning - I' a little fed up with conspiracies and two guys solving problem of the week formulas - but it grew into something wonderful. And this season they expanded female cast and went into full blown AI mode and I love every minute of it. From Root and Shaw team up to Carter being super mastermind taking two criminal organisations apart at once. It was beautiful.

I wondered where her son is since the season started and I loved that they didn't forget he existed and answered that.

I loved that Carter asked Shaw for the guns.

I loved that she picked the judge very carefully.

Also - I was surprised how sad I was about Laskey - poor kid. I don't want anyone on the team to die but they've been so heavily implying it's going to be Fusco I'm almost sure it won't be him. So I'm scared because all the alternatives are even worse.
