sff: Person of Interest 2x20

la la spoilers, obvsly..

You know how you can tell who your friends are? THEY'RE THE ONES WHO MOVE BODIES FOR YOU.

Oh, show. Oh,Carter. She never knew the slippery slope that was going to drag her down when she started trusting John--AND CAN I TALK ABOUT HOW SHIPPY THEIR CONVERSATION WAS (I mean, it wasn't, unless you're me--and then you're like "HOLY SHIT, JOSS, John is JUST AS BAD IF NOT WORSE, and you have a thing for him.")

But Fusco! God. I was waiting for this, and HR came down on him like a ton of bricks and I'm so fucking proud of him for not backing down.

CARTER. I CANNOT WITH HOW FUCKING AMAZING YOU ARE.

And it's late, so I'm sorry about all the fucks.

The other plot wasn't as tense, but it was sad and melancholy (and totally a metaphor for the machine's issues.)

And Claudia! Playing to type, of course.

Now we just need Root and Shaw to wander back, with Zoe to snark and Carter to get that soul-destroyed angsty look on her face.

and holy shit, she dug up a body for Fusco, omg

Oh god, the shot of Carter and Bear walking out of the station just kind of broke me because it hit me right in the "girl and her dog, taking on the world" feels.

I NEED TO WATCH IT AGAIN.

I sort of want to write the fill-in scene with her digging and Bear guarding, and YES, that does cause all the feels for that sort of thing. <3

I think there's a really great meditation on Carter and the lines she's drawn to stay a good cop and what keeps her from crossing them because without them and without her son, she could have been John or Shaw. Which makes me simultaneously go "me want fic!" and "oh god, I'm so glad that didn't happen to her."

Ugh, I did not think I was going to get this invested in this show.

Yeah, the Irrelevant plot was overall meh, with some solid fun moments, but HOLY CRAP how awesome was Fusco? He was the last character I thought I'd give much of a crap about at the start, but they've given him a really good arc, and last night's acting... Damn.

I'm still kinda freaking out over the Machine's woes and the ending... >.

I was thinking the same thing--like, at the end of last season, I was expecting Fusco to die, and wouldn't have cared. Then he didn't, and I still didn't care. BUT OH GOD THIS EPISODE. I mean, part of it for me is probably Carter's reaction to it all (and how much do I love the meaty part she's got? siiigh)

But, FUSCO. He has always come through, and now someone's come through for him.
