1. dear flist, I can't actually read my flist right now, as the new layout gives me a headache in about thirty seconds of staring at it, trying to figure out who posted what. sorry, I've no bloody idea if any of you have said anything in the last two days.

3. Primeval: New World has been canceled. This makes me angry and bitter.

4. No, I don't want to see the new Oz movie. Book series: all about girls and women having adventures. Movie: all about a dude and the women he done wronged and how everyone needs to be saved by his magic penis. GAG ME WITH A FUCKING SPOON. It's so gross it makes me want to puke.

You might like the new show Vikings it has the sheildmaiden Algretha in it. Plus cuz its about the viking expansion it has a lot of explorer tropes in it. I love it so far all though you might find it male heavy I suspect it won't stay that way.

4. I saw it and it wasn't that great. I didn't really like it for all the reasons you mentioned. I a lot of the female characters, with the exception of a few. But it was really pretty and shiny!

1. 2. I'm still using the old layout but once the new one becomes mandatory, I'll probably be posting/commenting mostly through DW. I've also gotten to a point where I read every journal/community in my own style because too many people have journal styles that kill my eyes.


3. Ugh, really? I haven't watched anything past 10 or 11 but that sucks.


4. I don't know why anyone wants to see this movie, tbh. I know next to nothing about the original books but I do know I have no desire to watch a movie all about some asshole who turns out to be the 'chosen' one saving a land plagued by 'evil' women who never get any kind of motivation for their actions because the movie doesn't give a crap about them.

3. YES. It is annoying, too, IT ENDS ON A CLIFF HANGER. To be fair, it's not as bad as the one from Primeval series 3.

1. It's the same as ever for me - at the moment. :-/ I don't do well with things without margins, or any of LJ's new anythings as they make my pc overheat all the time. The old layouts don't.

4. Yes, the guy behind it does seem to be living in some alternate universe. (He's also not good at research/reading, because there are rather a lot of fairy tales with male protagonists.) *mind boggles*

It's the without margins thing that I think really kills it for me? I have mostly managed to adjust, but the lack of margins is annnooooyyyiing. Heck, I remember when I worked out how to give fic files margins when posting up the html on my website because it looked ugly, otherwise. (I miss tables)

I've mostly managed to parse it. I might have to periodically be like, "People, I can't tell if I missed anything, so if you wrote fic I've not commented on, let me know." or something.

I saw something like that couple of times but it was because something was broken and html didn't load properly. It usually goes away after I reload the page (sometime couple of times). I can't believe they would just make a page that looks like that.
