ugh. It's cold.

Negative five degrees? Really, Wisconsin? You shouldn't have.

Unfortunately, it does mean blow-drying my hair, which means a frizzy mess of doom. sigh.

It also means extra layers, and having to remove them once I'm inside work. Ugh. I hate that. I always feel strange and odd for being extra bundled up.

Someone else on the flist was quoting their forecast: temps as low as minus 50 (that's right, FIFTY) with wind chill.

NO THANK YOU. TO EITHER OF YOU.

Sometimes, I am tempted to wish it on warmer places like Florida. But then again, FL isn't used to it, nor prepared.

SO not. We panic at the thought of a freeze, let alone the white stuff. But we're good with torrential downpour (sorta).

Welcome to Wisconsin.
I remember nights where I'd be working on my car and the thermometer in the garage read -28. WIth the heater running inside the garage, it maybe could make it up to 0 or 5.
-5 is nothing to scoff at.

Heh. It's true, it's less a complaint and more a rolling of the eyes--we haven't really been down this low for a while (even last year only had one or two truly hideous days iirc).
