quick further Asylum of the Daleks thought

AotD is The Wizard of Oz. At least, it makes sense to my sleep-deprived brain.

Oswin is the wizard (never look at the man behind the curtain; sadly, she has no chance of escape in a hot-air balloon)
Rory and Amy are the Lion and the Tin Woodsman (one has to find the courage to talk about her feelings, the other has to be reminded that he has a heart)
The Doctor is Dorothy and the Scarecrow (if he only had a brain he could go home)

There are no ruby slippers.

The Daleks are the Munchkins, and Oswin controls the yellow brick road.

I like this idea. :)

It beats my occasional thought of Amy as Dorothy (mostly, because I like Eleven as Dorothy, these days)

LOL. Doc as Dorothy is ingenious... and now I want to write it. >.< DAMNIT.

It certainly had that dark fairy tale thing going on, I can definitely see your comparisons.

=D I think one of the things I'm thankful for having Moff writing and shaping is that he has a tendency to go all fairy tale and I turn six again.
