So there's a Sci/Fi March Madness thing now, and I'm going down the poll, wondering, WTF criteria they used for picking people. THERE ARE FIFTY BILLION LOST CAST MEMBERS, but Zoe Herriot (or Victoria or Leela or Melanie Bush--neither are Harry Sullivan and the Brigadier) isn't on the list. Neither is Mrs. FREDERIC. WTF, PEOPLE. MRS FREDERIC IS THE BEST THING ABOUT WAREHOUSE 13.

I know, and to be honest, there'd be no point in putting ANYONE on the oldskool list aside from Sarah Jane Smith, anyway, as she had, like, 80% of the vote already.

I saw that Liz wasn't included in the Classic Who women and wandered off. If I can't vote for Liz, I vote for no one! /drama

I looked at a lot of the choices and was all "Really? But..." Including when I noticed the distinct lack of ~~Kara Thrace~~ BSG.

Hahaha WHERE'S BSG?!? was my very first thought, although it's probably for the best -- I don't need *another* march madness to obsess over. ;)

Did you see there's a comment thread for suggestions of missing characters, to go in their own separate category in the first round or something? The mod is still working out the kinks obviously -- I suspect it's only because she realized she included fifty billion Lost characters but not the most popular one in the fandom.

Yep. And my list is already longish--but I wasn't finished and I had to go to work.

My thoughts on Lost aren't particularly printable, but I've never considered it SF/F, anyway, so.
