randomness

In going through stacks of paper, one sometimes comes across things like unfinished notes on a Lord of the Rings gender-swap.

Lena Headey as Strider
Judi Dench as Gandalf
Helen Mirren as Saruman

Tiffany Hines as Frodo
Grace Park as Eomer
Daniel Dae Kim as Eowyn

And the one I would adore seeing: Zoe Saldana as Legolas.

Then there's Josette Simon as Denethor, Gloria Reuben as Boromir and Kandyse McClure as Faramir.

(I may have posted that before. dunno)

Also, notes on River fic:

When River meets the second Doctor, she's got short dark hair slicked back neatly. And calls herself Indiana Jones.
-
She avoids his seventh incarnation, but befriends Ace during her two years of vacation.

(Oh, Virgin book timelines are canon, in my head)

Oh! I would watch that! Mostly because even while I was at the height of my slashing days during that period, I was still entirely bored by it.

Although, I half suspect that not even women will save LoTR for me, because of its very black and white take on morality. BUT! At least I would be awake enough to form an informed opinion? ;)

heheh. It's not even boredom, more, just, uh, fantasising about having epic fantasy filled with lots of my favorite actresses, rather than white dudes. And since LOTR has been done more times than simply the one, it wouldn't be that hard to do it again.

I would so watch/read that version of LoTR. I kind of just want to circle that list a couple of dozen times in sharpie with an arrow going "YES" to it.

Bwahahah. Yeah, that was sort of my reaction when I found it, and I was like "I should post this for posterity"
