And here I was originally excited that there were actual posts to read. More fool me.

That's the main reason I didn't reblog/repost it. Everyone else was, and I already rebloged the Black March one a couple of days ago, which I'm not sure if I'm doing at this point.

My country already signed it months ago, and no-one reblogged to tell me what to do back then! Now I can just feel cranky and ignored, but that's what we get for being a small population, low-content-producting nation (same for NZ and Singapore).

Don't worry, the Australians on my flist are belatedly rageful on our behalfs. I mean, they're reblogging the same thing everyone else is, but I hope at least one of them writes an angry letter to their MP, just for the "...whut?" response they'll get.

(ALIA lobbied quite hard against it, among other organisations. So good on the librarians?)

ALIA and the Australian Digital Alliance and a few others, so good on them. I wrote to Nicola Roxon, because it could affect our access to generic medicinces (though it will be much worse in the developing world) but no reply. Sigh.

I'd be more tolerant if people weren't reblogging things that were debunked two years ago!

"reblog" is a tumblr term, or at least I haven't heard it outside of tumblr before now. The post originated on Tumblr, as well, apparently.

I'm using it a bit mockingly, as most everyone seems to just regurgitating the same post over and over, with no added commentary (I suppose I should say, same TWO posts, as one is aimed at UK people)

Read your flist, I'd say at least two of the reposts of the same damned thing should be there.

SERIOUSLY, I think I'm back on tumblr when I see the same freakin' alarmist post in a row over and over.
