my hopes and dreams
1. I ate something my stomach didn't like on NYE. I did not enjoy the rest of the three-day weekend. (well, that's not true, I did enjoy my Coupling marathon on Monday--almost all four seasons!)
2. I hope the trend continues in newSkool Doctor Who, and the Daleks and Cybermen remain the occasional butt of jokes. I really really loathe the Daleks these days and find them over-blown and over-used. (although I rather wish we could get Spare Parts as an actual storyline, and not that crappy travesty foisted upon us several seasons ago)
3. Quin likes to sleep under the Christmas tree. It's sort of ridiculously adorable (I expect she'll sulk once we take it down).
4. Tuesday, it was very cold.
5. I considered doing a year-end writing round-up, but I didn't really write much, and most of it was ficlets and drabbles anyway, so there seemed no point.
6. TV shows are finally airing new episodes soon (I mean, aside from Leverage, which never stopped for some reason). Revenge was back last night. Pan Am should be back Sunday (squee).
7. Speaking of Leverage -- MORE HARDISON EPISODES, pls. Because those are awesome.

Oh, Yahell News is reporting that the recall petition for your "wonderful" governor has over 500k signatures on it - wow, that's a good chunk of po'ed voters. Also, how some of his buddies are part of what's looking like a child porn ring - lovely! Just gives the recall people more power to send him on his merry way.
