I played TV catch-up over the weekend.
On various recs from my flist, I watched Pan Am and Revenge. I also caught up on Lost Girl (except for 2x6, as the file I had was wrong)
Revenge I mostly watched on ABC's site, which isn't so fun, as I loathe commercials. Ugh. Mostly worth it, though. (I'm liking how it's all complicated, but the women aren't being demonized for having sex? If that makes sense)
Pan Am is silly, but fun. I like all the main female characters, and Dean is sort of blandly useful. The other dude is sweet, but kind of an ass. Also. Goran Visnjic is pretty.
Lost Girl had some excellent bits in the two episodes (srsly, drunk bffs joking about curses = awesome). Also, is it wrong of me to hate the new Ash? Because I do. And wish a great deal of ill on him. (and half an episode with bad accents about Dyson's past = SO BORING)
Once Upon a Time 1x2 was... nice? The little boy is really obnoxious, though. And I sort of feel like, even though all of the women have the power, the men (or, Rumpels) manipulate them? idk.
The Body Farm. Mainlined all of the first series, and while it's all right, I feel frustrated at how it has so many flashbacks. I don't think they help at all, and the science would be more interesting, but is ignored. (also, I have this weird id-reaction to Mike in that I want to climb him like a tree. ahem.) I like the characters--except the cop, whom I find a complete asshole.
(between Revenge and Once Upon a Time, I'm really missing Eastwick, too. sigh)
ALSO. Covert Affairs was back, and there was shirtless, unscrupulous Jai. Mwah.
I shall try to have more intelligent thoughts at a later date.

Now if I can just get you to watch ringer, I can pester you about all my shows on IM.
ETA: For once, I think we're actually sitting at thr popular table in hating the new Ash.

Lost Girl 2x06 was my favorite from season 2, to date. 2x05, with all the Dyson crap, my least favorite. His angst has annoyed me all season but that blow-up he had at Kenzi in episode 4 is when he landed himself on my douche-list. I no longer have any tolerance for him...but I guess he's still better than new!Ash? Honestly, I wish we could lose them both forever.
ITA with your thoughts about Once Upon a Time + Covert Affairs :)

Ringer, I'm not so sure about.
Hoooray, for the popular table (also, as much as she's really awful, I still prefer the Morrigan--AND AND, at least she doesn't try to even act like it's perfectly normal that she's, y'know, evil. She just is.)

eta; also, my thoughts on 2x6 and 2x7 will have to be written up shortly. yes.

Sigh. I wanted to like it without reservations, and couldn't (and for once, I think a show did a decent job with sexism/racism--for the most part)

I still often wonder why they went with those terms. Seelie and Unseelie aren't that complicated. But then, they get decent story mileage out of some of the Light Fae getting on their high horsies about morals and codes, and then having Kenzi and/or Bo call them on their shit. It becomes clearer all the time that the real divide lies in the level of interaction they have with the human world, more than in Light/Dark allegiance.
