Haven 2x9, with a side of Miracle Day (most likely)

I am angry. I am disappointed, too. Haven is now off my list of shows to recommend. As much as I like Audrey Parker, that is not enough.

FOR FUCK'S SAKE, HAVEN WRITERS. NOT EVERY WOMAN HAS TO DIE OR GET RUN OFF. YOU FUCKING SUCK. Audrey is not special enough to be the only fucking woman on the show. You can have more than one female character! Honest! It will make the show more interesting to those of us WHO DO NOT GIVE A SHIT ABOUT DUKE AND NATHAN.

I am not at Jaden or Vera-level rage, but that's probably because Rusty murdered another woman so his audience would be happy.

Just. Killing Evi off accomplished nothing. (and for the record, if you're a person who didn't like her or are glad she's gone, or don't think she was interesting, or whatever? Fuck off.)

Evi was fabulous, and provided much-needed estrogen on a show that's mostly about two white dudes and their one, token, female friend. And I love Audrey Parker. I do. I love that her brains are so fabulous, and that she's plugged into everything, and that she's so fucking arrogant sometimes I want to smack her--I LOVE HER FOR LAST WEEK'S EPISODE, ok? Where SHE TALKED A MAN INTO KILLING HIMSELF. Ok, a copy of a man. BUT WHATEVER.

I just. I am so angry and disappointed, and fucking annoyed that I actually expected a woman to live. I should know better than that. (and worse? I can't even appreciate all the character beats, or how Duke was going to get himself killed over Evi, or how Dwight is still pretty and Audrey should still climb him [no, wait, oh, god. there should be awful Audrey/Dwight where Audrey says she's a bullet])

And unsurprisingly, a majority of Haven fandom is ecstatic that she's dead.

At least my notes function is getting a good workout.

I am not quitting the show, as unlike Miracle Day, it wasn't all about her killer's angst over how he killed her. But I am not going to watch with as much enjoyment, and I regret buying the dvds. :/

eta: also? Everyone was so dumb in this episode "Oh, the Rev was behind it? GOSH. We didn't realize that." REALLY? REALLLY REALLY REALLY? HAVE YOU IDIOTS MISSED HIS MACHINATIONS OVER THE LAST TWO SEASONS? Oh, right. You all fell and hit your heads or something.

As you know, I don't yet watch this show but when I read they killed off another woman, I was bummed. I don't remember Evi from the one or two episodes I have seen but I'm sure she was awesome.

And Torchwood...just...The only way I could've hated MD more was if they'd killed off Gwen and her adorable baby. Everything about it was stupid and made no sense and only served to let RTD kill more characters.

I'm looking forward to the new season of Nikita but I still miss Jaden.

Eleanor was a blow (she was last season), and the show is SHIT at keeping female characters around (Jess made it three episodes, Julia made it four or five, other character who is spoilery lasted three episodes). It's so annoying! They could easily handle two more women with no issues, but they don't even TRY.

What you said about TW, yes.

Jaden is still a hole. I haven't even watched the last two episodes of the last season. I'm not sure I ever plan to (I'm not sure I'm going to watch the new season)

The spoilery one...was the FBI agent who then became...someone else? I saw bits and pieces of one of her episodes and kinda figured something awful would happen to her, since I ADORE the actress who played her.

Yesterday's Haven episode was so bad I just don't have words. It was so full of characters acting OOC (especially Evi and Chris) I was expecting it to turn out to be a dream even before Evi was shot. And then it just got worse. It was so bad I couldn't even appreciate the good parts like the mystery of the week or Dwight.

I think they suspected it was the Rev from the beginning they were just looking for proof. However if Duke suddenly changes sides because of that one exchange I'm ready to give up. This was such a clunky piece of storytelling I hope they don't do that again.

I think the problem was that there were all these ideas and things that could have been good, and it just... didn't pull it off. Which is just sad.

Mostly, it was a mess of stupid (I mean, the resolution was so dumb, not to mention how fast nu!chief died and such) (I am distracted watching DW, and it is ruining my brain for smart thinking)

I was pissed they killed Evi. I was all in favor of her actually, you know, living and being a good supporting character.

However, as soon as she was stupid enough to steal Nathan's pass, I knew she was dead and that was just enough to make me totally disappointed. I wanted Evi to live and be a part of the solution, not another freaking fatality.

Damn, and Esther too... Can we just kill off RTD and be done with it? I seriously think he has a thing against any female character living, except for Gwen.

Argh! I really had hope for Esther living, I did. I had hopes that she would live to be the other female for Gwen to talk to when they formally brought back Torchwood. :(
