I had pie. Yay.
1. Torchwood audio plays = YAY. HI TORCHWOOD, STOP MAKING ME LAUGH LIKE A LOON AT WORK. (also, more yay-inducing than Miracle Day, but I have no taste, having loved most of the books, too)
2. The next time someone asks "why isn't there more femslash?" I'm just totally settling on a standard response. "No one gives feedback."
3. This doesn't mean I'm not eagerly writing Esther Drummond/Vera Juarez. Just that I'll take my FIRST! badge and expect no response.
4. I officially have more bling installed in my jaw. Remember, if I'm dead, the dental records will be easy to match.
5. TV I have recently watched:
a. The Strip. Australian cop show. Entertaining, with women doing stuff, and not too awful plots. Some fail towards the end of the series. (my bar for cop shows is pretty low, tbh) Rec'd by Netflix for my interest in Saving Grace and In Plain Sight.
b. Leverage 4x3. Well. Some of it. There was fast-forwarding and boredom involved. (but omg EARL)
c. The Unusuals. Lasted two episodes before the over-the-top LOOK AT US BE CLEVER. SEE, THIS IS CLEVER. CLEVERCLEVERCLEVER flag-waving got annoying.
d. Hustle. Lasted twenty minutes before not even Liz May Brice's cameo could keep me interested (erm. This is the show that's "more clever and better-written" than Leverage? Really? The one where the single female regular is basically there to have tits and a short skirt? OK!)
e. Covert Affairs. Erm. I should do a separate post, I s'pose. At some point.
6. I'm reminded that H20: Just Add Water now streams on netflix. I should figure out where I stopped.

And I don't even think people are wrong when they say Leverage borrows/steals things. (though, erm, heists. Not new)
I have questions!
Where does one find Torchwood audio plays? This intrigues me.
I'm trying The Strip on your rec. I've been meaning to watch Saving Grace for ages but know nothing about In Plain Sight - what's it like?
The Unusuals I missed - is it worth the first two eps?
Hustle? Who what where and format?
I don't know H20: Just Add Water - I'm so ignorant today.
Re: I have questions!
Torchwood audio plays are here:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b006qrzz - I don't know if it's region-locked, though.
Oh, god, just remember my bar for cop shows is very low (like, I used to watch Criminal Intent episodes for background noise low).
In Plain Sight is about a female federal marshal who's a part of Witness Protection. The first two seasons are about her life, her mother and her sister... It sort of went downhill when they dumped the show-runner because it wasn't ~funny~ enough or something (I've heard there's a new new show-runner, but my grudges, I hold them well).
The Unusuals is probably worth it in small doses. Like, an episode a week is probably less annoying than all at once? And I like most of the cast. I just have a low level of tolerance for Aren't We Clever-ness (I can't think of anything else off the top of my head that annoyed me like that, but I know there've been a few)
Hustle is the Brit Cons and Heists show with Adrian Lester (whom I like!) at the helm. I had discs from netflix ages ago, just never watched them.
H20 - It's an Australian Teen Soap Comedy where three teenage girls accidentally become mermaids. It is hilarious, but it is also Teen Soap material, so it's a bit too much "OMG I DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR TEEN ANGST" after a while (but it is cute and adorable, and ridiculous, as the best cracktastic things are)

Yeah, I wasn't that impressed with the last Leverage episode either. But I liked the first two of the season.
I think I watched the pilot of The Unusuals, then forgot about it until I heard it was canceled. I've debated about giving it another chance because I adore some of the cast but it's not really a priority. Still need to watch this week's Covert Affairs. I will say that I loved Reva in the last episode so I'm sure that love will continue in this one.

The first two Leverage episodes were fun.
REVA. omg. *small voice* I sort of want Joan/Reva hate!sex.

Ooh, yes! Reva/Joan would be lots of fun, though I can ship Joan with everyone so that's no surprise :)

My brain wants Joan/Arthur's ex-wife hate!sex. And Annie/Reva. =D (and ridiculous "Reva is sekritly Sif stuck on Earth and turns to Annie for help to get back to Asgard" fic)

lol, that fic would be awesome :D

I'm starting to think a good response to that question is "Go and leave some feedback on a femslash fic right now!"
Ooh, there were Torchwood plays? Awesome - the last lot were deliciously fun. (My bike has a bell!)

Yes! *points up* I linked Kali. The third one is not as hilarious, except in a taunting fandom way. (ALSO. That line from Ianto is still THE BEST. <3)
