I thought the River reveal was a huge letdown and also rather silly, plus a bit faily in explaining, well, anything, not to mention the implications for shippers, but once I get over that I think I'll love the episode, because the characters themselves were all sorts of awesome, even the throwaway characters.

You wanna know my favorite part of the River reveal?

The Doctor's reaction. Like, I missed it the first time, but right after he figures it out, he turns to Rory and Amy and gives a little "oh" like the significance is hitting him, and then he turns back to River, makes the kissy face, and then turns back to Rory and Amy again and makes a second, deeper "oh" that is totally "I hope Rory and Amy are very understanding when they realize I made out with their daughter and will probably do it again and also maybe have sex someday".

I giggled for about 5 minutes when I noticed that. And then I started trying to picture that conversation and I couldn't stop laughing.


ETA: Oh, and also, STEVIE WONDER! But you must never tell him.

Hmmm...Stevie Wonder on the TARDIS. Does that mean we can count Stevie Wonder as a companion?

ETA2: And the Doctor speaks baby! And Melody/River thinks of her mother as "big milk thing"! I...just...I don't have words.

They were so awesome I can't even...
"I'm being insensitive again to you? I don't know why are you put up with me" And she does that tongue thing and Jenny looks at her and we all know why.

Rory was great and he said at the beginning of the season Amy knows he will always come for her and she does. And the whole reunion was beautiful. And then the other one when River tells them who she is. Funny how they met her before she was even conceived.

I can't wait to see how they deal with that revelation.
