Two thoughts, actually.

1. I've always laughed whenever they burn Eleven's body, as I don't think burning would be enough to destroy his Speshul Time Lord helixes. But it occurred to me today, while randomly listening to IA, that, well, um. The Silents were there on the lakeside. Amy saw them. Therefore, they could have nicked the burnt ashes (well, some of it probably wasn't even ash, given the lake it was floating in) and Done Things with them (I'm sort of curious about their level of technology, as it doesn't really make sense. Or I suppose it does, in the same way goa'uld tech makes sense in that they've stolen all of it from better aliens)

1b. Which just occurred to me: was everyone on the lakeside a ganger when they got back to the diner?

2. In the orphanage, when the Silents took Amy and the little girl, remember how neatly the vocal recorder thingie was removed? Maybe that's because the Silents melted ganger!Amy to facilitate removal/clean-up. (I wonder if the Doctor's suspected something fishy since then? He scanned the area with the sonic, but he wasn't thinking along those lines. Not really, that took more time.)

Well, it's the Doctor who left the gasoline instruction, and this fits with my crackpot theory -- what if his Time Lord specialness was elsewhere by the time they lit the body on fire?

HAHAHAH. that's also possible. Mostly, I'm just certain The Doctor Lies is going to come into play, somewhere (and River Lies, too)

The melting idea would make more sense if it wasn't still transmitting from that body when Rory was obsessed with the chip... though the chip thing is just confusing anyway since it's mental but seems to record what you say not what you think.

Ah, but they're linked genetically, so if the body replicates double-helixes... (which is an interesting question about The Flesh, especially as Amy appears to be a more advanced version, do they even have DNA? She was a ganger by then, after all, unless she was seeing flash-forward visions of eye-patch lady)

My brain officially hurts. Can't we go back to the days of PONCHOS... IN... SPAAAACE!!!?

Okay, no, that's not fair, I am enjoying the season quite a lot. But my brain still hurts.

NO. Although, I'm not so sure those were particularly non-twisty, either. =D

I'm expecting our brains to hurt even worse after Saturday, unfortunately.

I have no idea, but I have this sudden and strong need to rewatch all of this season's eps right frakking now, but sadly, I am at work.

And [livejournal.com profile] spiletta42 totally has the right icon for this, so...

HAHAHa. I give into that urge by listening at work (perhaps tomorrow should be a six-episode day OH GOD MY BRAIN might not handle that well)

(erm, can you listen to audio at work?)
