sff: The Almost People (Doctor Who)
Despite the fact that I utterly loved the episode, I don't actually have much to say about it. The Amy thing, the Eleventy switching places and being a manipulative bastard thing (SEVEN IS SO PROUD, ELEVENTY), the Miranda/Eleventy that I ship like mad thing, the--just--idk. I love this sort of sf, I guess?
Or maybe it's the old building/giant acid factory thing.
The fact that there is now canon that men flirt with themselves when they're twinned? I mean, I yelled "GET A ROOM" at EleventySquared, at one point. Because, sheesh, Eleventy.
And while I'm not fond of "let's make this woman have a plot by giving her a baby!" I'm pretty sure that companions don't normally get pregnant on Doctor Who, so I find that less, well, annoying.
I should be sleepy. I'm not.

Yes. Just like ladies flirt when they're twinned. (See: Amy(s) in Time/Space.)

Imagine twin Captain Jacks.
The...the universe may indeed come to an end from that.

But. I'm okay with women having babies when they get to do other things and not turn into portable baby incubators. And I haven't seen any indication that's what's happening here. All IMO.
Still trying to work out how I feel about the destruction of not-Amy, though.
