vague annoyances

1. BBC America keeps trying to make it sound ~coool~ that Doctor Who has a two-week hiatus. No, no, it is not cool.

2. I am out of Midsomer Murder discs to watch. I shall have to re-watch or something. *sulks*

3. IT IS COLD. spring, how does it work?

I hope it does, but the US love of football and booze or whatever will probably will probably triumph *annoyed*

1. oi vey gevalt, BBC_America. (definately overestimating teh Graham Norton fans...or trying to give the other "new" shows more airtime)

2. what about other shows? (Foyle's War, Murdock Mysteries, etc)

3. its supposed to be - wait, wrong hemisphere. nevermind.

1. They're doing it for the stupid holiday weekend. And running a Who marathon all Saturday instead.

2. I'm not in the mood for most other things right now. Even before the new Who episode aired tonight, I tried to watch some other stuff, and failed. MM hits, like, that right "I can ignore it, but sometimes make up ridiculous stories about the women in it" kink? idk.

1. well, they just lost credibility in my mind. dammit.

2. ah, sorry to hear about that. I hope your mood improves.

>"I can ignore it, but sometimes make up rediculous stories about the women in it" kink?
I'm unfamiliar with that part of the Mysteries. sorry.

(I watch for Dr. Ogden, and to see the guest characters and future inventions made a century early)

ok, so, like, one of the last episodes I watched had Samantha Bond and Abigail McKern in it (both of whom played Miz Liz Probert in Rumpole), and I spent the entire episode convinced they were secret lesbian lovers who'd murdered their husbands/lovers to gain the inheritance together and would run off to France or something.

And I do this for all of them, really.

you're genius. (granted, this was already obvious)

[identity profile] rodlox.livejournal.com 2011-05-22 05:59 am (UTC)(link)
that does make the show sound more interesting than it already was.

need to re-watch my copy of s1 and s2 Murdoch, and see what I come up with.

Ohh Midsomer Murder sounds intriguing. That reminds me, I wish they would make Luther, but forget the last few episodes of it.

Luther?

Midsomer Murders is... probably not that great? I mostly watch it for the brain-candy of sleepy murders in villages and ountrysides detective stories that it is.

Ahh. Luther is about a detective on the British police force. Not sure how else to explain it.

Woah. They are making a 2nd season? Not sure what to think of that...

Ahh. Someone was mentioning that elsewhere, and I'll have to give it a watch at some point.

The first few episodes are really good. I saw them on netflix instant. Not sure if they are still there.

1. I kind of understand it - it's a holiday weekend and a lot of people will be leaving and they need ratings. This is a standard practice everywhere so I'm not surprised (I was surprised there was no break for Eurovision). Still I got used to being able to watch the episode the same day it's shown for the first time. Avoiding spoilers is much easier if it's just for few hours. And trying to sell it as a good thing was a little too much.

3. I can see people swimming in the pool from my window :P But it is colder then last year.

1. I'd understand it more if I thought DW fans wouldn't stay glued to their tvs for the second part of something.

And trying to sell it as a good thing was a little too much. But yes, this.
