SFF; Doctor Who, 6x2, Day of the Moon
I waited until the airing on BBCA. I am so proud of myself.
aaaaaaaaaaaugh. THREE MONTHS. Of running and tally-marks and general escapeyness. OMG. We'll handwave how well the clothing held up.
Except for River, of course, who did well enough to wear evening wear.
omg, I don't have the words, really. I loved the episode, I thought it was a brilliant follow-up to the previous, and I'm almost hopeful enough not to worry where the season is going.
Also, the number of people who are all "OMG we don't know that the Silents were evil, the Doctor is a meanie for setting the human race on them!" is a bit disconcerting. I mean, sure, they could just be cuddly puppies and kittens who give humans post-hypnotic suggestions because that's what's best for those silly humans, and it's not like parasites aren't perfectly cuddly little things or that the Silents didn't like to murder people for shits and giggles... All they have to do is leave Earth, and humanity won't bother them.
Canton is still awesome.
RIVER SONG. OMG. she was magnificent and then BROKE MY HEART IN A THOUSAND PIECES.
Moff gave me more nightmare fuel. WTF WITH THE CEILING and the Doctor talking about the SPACES UNDER YOUR BED and shit.aaaaaaaaaaaaaaugh
I'm excited to find out more about this little girl and the mystery of her, and how she's linked (or not) to Amy being Schrodinger pregnant.
Amy was ridiculously hot in her Scully outfit, and the bit in the asylum, sorry orphanage, room (both of them) was brilliant. (how long were you in that room, Amy Pond?)
The Amy/Rory was adorable, and the bit where Eleven and Rory have a conversation was disconcerting, as men don't really talk in this show all that much. The genders are usually mixed.
Hrm. I had a lot of one-line sentences, there.
IT WAS WONDERFUL. I think I need to watch it again for dialog clarity. I got the plot bits, and loved them a lot.
eta: I forgot something, but now I don't remember what. Possibly how there was more timey-wimey nonsense--
OH. RIVER SHOOTING THINGS. Also, the swimming pool! I wonder if it's in the library still?
ohohoho. And I love that the Doctor toppled an invasion force/empire/whatever, here. I've missed that.
