*surfaces* I should be in bed.

1. I've been watching Missing (aka 1-800-MISSING) all weekend. I discovered it while poking around an image archive and trying to figure out what the hell it was. And then I did. And then I watched it. A lot.

The premise is that a college grad gets hit by lightning and starts having visions of missing people in her dreams. She ends up joining an FBI task force, searching for missing people. The FBI agent who ends up her partner is skeptical at first, but begins to accept and believe.

The first season has some horrifically bad bits of ignoring FBI procedure (in stupid ways that make the cases harder to solve), and is very emotional. Lots of hugging, lots of boyfriends and building up personal lives for the two leads (the third woman on the cast talks about her husband a lot). This is not a bad thing, but I can understand why they changed it up for the second season. There's only so much they could milk out of it. (don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed large portions of it, but I'm glad to move on from "every woman needs a man" and "boyfriends are only here to be annoyances" [except for that one time Jess's boyfriend disappeared between the teaser and the first act])

The second season is buddy cops, since the psychic went to Quantico and joined the FBI, and she then gets a new partner and a new assignment in Washington. (sadly, they also lost Sunny who was the evidence tech, and also awesome)

I've really been enjoying it, but only if I pretend to ignore police and FBI procedure.

2. Tomorrow, I'm going hunting for femslash (and also my guilty pleasure ship of Jess/Jack).

3. The show is co-written at times by Lee Goldberg, which is slightly disconcerting. I get this uncomfortable feeling where I don't want to enjoy it based on it being written by him.

4. Also, so far the show has had Bo, Hale and Kenzi as guest stars. Bo and Hale were in the same episode and storyline. It's also had Fred Durkin from Nero Wolfe as an ex-Navy SEAL killing machine, which sort of doesn't work. 'Cause, um, Fred Durkin is the nicest of the PIs working for Wolfe, and it just jars.

5. In other, non-Missing news, is it Easter yet? SIGH.
