As though the earlier bit wasn't bad enough, now the Midsomer Murders producer dude is being an asshat about casting PoC. As, y'know, he doesn't want to scare off his all-white audience.

The truly sad thing about this is that MM tends to have large numbers of women in good roles. I was even thinking about talking about it. Now I don't really see a point.

Does he have that very special mix of viewers who are both racist and think that the tiny people inside their tvs will escape and attack them? I didn't realize this was a demographic worth guarding.

I have no idea. But I now have less reason to ever buy any dvds.
