3. I loved the show when it was first on (well, when it was being rerun on Oxygen) but when I went to rewatch over the summer, in anticipation of Nikita, I had the same problem. I couldn't get through some episodes. I still have some affection for it, mostly based off memories. But every time I say someone complaining about the new series because the old one was perfect, I just laughed.
5. Emily/Maya is one of my favorite stories. I agree her parents are being well written, even if her mom isn't the most likeable. I like that even though she's not accepting it and Emily, she hasn't beat her or thrown her out of the house or anything like that. It's a happy medium of sorts. They can deal with the issues of parents who have problems with their kids being gay, but not have her mom look like a complete monster who's irredeemable.
Also, yes, Ezra needs to go. Well, he's kind of pretty, so he could stay if he never speak to Aria again, but also manages to become relevant to the plot. OK yeah, that's not going to happen. Maybe he should just hook up with Alona Tal in two weeks and run away with her. Everyone wins.
