sff: Nikita, Sanctuary
Nikita 1.11 (holy god, are we really 11 episodes in? Eeee): <3
Sanctuary 3.9: now that's how you have an ensemble.
Nikita.
I don't even know what to say about this episode. It just. All the bits and pieces, the history and everything else--it just all comes together so beautifully, and I love how Alex thinks on the turn of the dime, how she is so good at planning and improvisation.
And Jaden! Still searching for cracks in Alex's armor, even though the one ally she had is now dead.
This was something I'd been waiting for, Nikita getting pulled in and confronted, and I love that she and Amanda had that scene, and it was so emotionally raw and yet calculated at the same time, and so so painful for Nikita. (I also love that they think she still has the black box!)
Michael just keeps getting shot, and it's hilarious. Also, so so creepy with helping Alex choose her target-point.
NIKITA WITH THE CHAINS. I don't even. (for fans of chains as weapons, there's this episode of Sanctuary you might want to watch called 'Breach')
And I love that with Alex setting up Thom that, well, the heat will be off a little. ALSO. ALSO. The last scene, PERCY, YOU ARE SO NOT BRIGHT AND ALEX NEVER SAID DIVISION WAS HER FAMILY AND OMG ALEX. That double-talk was incredible.

Sanctuary.
Um. I guess I'm going to have to scrap the plot of my Ashley-isn't-dead-fic, as I sort of just got it jossed with the whole "they figure out who killed Father whatsit" plot. Oh well, it had lots of Kate being awesome and a new player.
FBI-girl. I'm not even sure what her name was, but, er, she was sort of earnest and over-the-top and I kept waiting for the "she's really there undercover to bring them down" and, er, there was none of that. Idk. a little digging into her would have been nice? I'm just paranoid, I guess, and it makes them all look sort of dumb to not check into her, especially with that story of "we met at this training course" that Will doesn't remember? *snort*
I suppose it's better than her picking him up in a video shop. (Oh, Primeval, with your badness)
Anyway, getting past that, I liked her. Though I was very disappointed that, again, she didn't talk to Kate.
Hey, Sanctuary, can we talk about how your women sort of exist in this vaccuum from each other? They talk to the men and the men have conversations with each other and... the women don't. :/
The city sub-plot was still hokey, but at least more silly than annoying this time. I love that the museum dude was selling stuff on the black market, and I loved Helen and John as a team (even if fake!outdoors stuff was painfully fake omg)
(I still do not care about Daddy)
Will did not particularly annoy me, as the new head of the Sanctuary. In fact, I almost sort of enjoyed him buried in paperwork?
I was a little... saddened that we didn't get more of FBI-girl, or that they didn't hire her out-right so they could have more muscle.
Henry was adorbs, for the most part. And, aw, talking to his gf on skype.
And Kate. Kate was missing last week, but she was fabulous this time around, and with the turning her gun into a bomb bit. (I would like even more Kate, show. pls)
But we ended on Helen, who is deteriorating. How frightening that must be, that this inevitable destruction is something she can't fight, but can only endure until either they find a cure or she dies. And the Helen/John. Did I mention last time how apparently SNUGGLING is a kink of mine? yes.iamsoweak so, um, yes. Ship it, and love them working together SO HARD.
Oh, and Tesla. Way to be sleazy, dude. At least you said snarky things a few times, and annoyed Will. That always puts you ahead in my book.
