sff: the walking dead, sanctuary
TWD: I had this long, drawn-out paragraphy thing, but, really, what would be the point? The show was intensely boring (not to mention being crap at women) and 100% of the characters were too stupid to live. We missed last week, then we missed this week. I don't miss it at all.
Sanctuary: I've been sort of holding off on season two, because the end of season one made me intensely angry. I'm still annoyed, but I'm also, like, mocking it. This show is just above Primeval on the scale of "women having agency" and passing the Bechdel (Sanctuary, like, does it by accident, sometimes). Not to mention how the OMG EVILCONSPIRACY CABAL that they were sooooo worried about were, um, toast in like ten seconds. *yawn*
I am up to 2.6 'Fragments', for those wondering.
So. I like Kate, but I'm not seeing this 'well-written depth' that people were saying she has? So far, at least, she's doing better than Primeval's "LOOK, We have a black woman on our show now!" schtick, but, er, she's not really any better off than Ashley was.
Magnus, while awesome, still tends to be in the background a lot.
The bulk of the show is Will, Will, Will and sometimes Henry. This makes for a lot of wandering off and yawning on my part.
Which is sad. I really like Magnus. And I really loved and adored Ashley (and honestly, the way they got rid of her was crappy and pointless). Druitt is meh, but at least hilarious at times. And the big hairy dude is... bleh.
The surprise talent is Tesla, and they're good with the not-always-having him around thing. It's just a pity he's never eaten Will.
Did I mention how they fridged Will's girlfriend? Yeah, that was classy.
And let's not even get into the deeply insulting "Henry's girlfriend gets murdered by her husband, oops" episode.
Icon used completely ironically (note to self, for when it changes: Claudia Brown, fridged before her time)

And you haven't even seen the last ep yet? They really are too stupid to live. Literally.

I'm going to keep watching as I do mostly enjoy the show it's just. THINKING about it makes me frustrated.
