OH MONDAY (ok, so it's really Tuesday now)
1. LOL, really? (you know, I thought it was a joke the first time I ran across to a reference, but no. There's really a fanfic archive vying for money against charities.)
2. MCMIRACLE, you guys. WTF. I have to give their intent an A, but their... over-the-top BROTHER AND SISTERS IN CHRIST verbiage is a bit much.
3. One problem with poking through screencaps (I was trying to find the ones I did of wee James Callis from Heat of the Sun but have apparently failed at actually capping it?) is that then I have, like, twenty caps loaded into photoshop for various reasons (I shall have to do an icon post one of these days)
4. I may have failed at Nano so far (LR has given me an excellent starting line), but I've managed 500+ for the fslash_land big bang. I've got at least three thousand jotted down in my notebook, too (I say three, but it'll end up being more with actual, spelled-out words and the two scenes that have to go before them)
5. We have purple lights in the hallway. I need to figure out what I did with the camera cable, damn.
6. I've got the first disc of War of the Worlds to watch tomorrow. I am expecting it to be awful and horrific and glee-inducing in its epic badness (I used to WATCH IT WITH MY DAD. Nostalgia will win out, I'm sure, even if plot devices don't).
7. in an oddly-Haven-related thought: if you re-cast Duke's "Look at me be a badass pirate" character with Lena Headey, I would ship it like there's no tomorrow. Er, 'Duke'/Audrey, that is.
8. Speaking of people being not who they say they are.... Joan Campbell spent twenty years using Maggie Collins as her cover identity, y/y?
9. bedtime!

8. HELL TO THE YES. (well, I don't know about 20 years, that seems like a lot, though I'm not up on all my Leverage canon, but yes.)
I may have tried to fit CovAff, Meteor Storm, and V all together. You know the really scarily perfect part of that xover? The SAME ACTOR played the adult version of John May's son James, and played their son in Meteor Storm. It ... sort of works. In my head.

I'm not entirely sure how long they were married, but I think Joan's mentioned having been with the CIA since college, and I was going with her being about the same age as Kari Matchett--ie, almost 40.
(I am pondering using my big bang as my nano, but not certain I have enough story for it)

So then Joan/Maggie she was married to Nate first, but he didn't know she was a spy (she had a cover much like Annie's, that let her know a lot about art), their kid died, she left and went back to the Company. Met Arthur again (presumably they already knew each other), and married him not too long later.
Having the meteors be under Visitor control makes a lot more sense than the actual film, right? heh

What are you writing for this one?

BABY CATHERINE DISHER OMG! Sorry, but I have some serious fannish nostalgia there.

*grabby hands*

STOP IT. You're feeding into my "Sophie is a disgraced MI6 agent who went into grifting after that and Tara was her partner" fanon. AND I DO NOT HAVE TIME TO WRITE IT. But I'm plotting it nevertheless, thanks to you.

6. Is she in it? Heh. That is awesome.
8. I don't have time to write it, either, but I thought of the entire idea like two weeks ago, and it won't go away. And it slots perfectly with the Sophie is ex-MI6 stuff. =D

6. She plays Mana in s2. (Also, she was Jean Grey in that X-Men cartoon from the 90's. Not X-Men Evolution, but the other one.)
8. Which basically means that Sophie and Joan/Maggie have been chasing each other for at least as long as Nate and Sophie have been chasing each other, and maybe don't even realize it, and adds about four more layers of complexity to that love triangle. Which makes it even better. Damn, do I wish I had time for that.

See, I didn't watch season two. I don't think Dad and I managed to watch all of season one, even. Season two just sounded awful to me at that age, so I had this grudge. Also, I had a crush on Richard Chaves and Phil Akin was MY HERO and they were both killed off in the first episode of two.
But I knew she'd done the X-Men, and it made me want to watch FK even more. =D
