follow you until you love me...
1. I've heard the mashup versions of some songs so often, that hearing them on the radio now makes me go "...wait..." Although, it's possibly because Paparazzi+undisclosed desires works so well.
2. One of these days, I am totally making a fandom secret to tell the world I'd rather listen to Katy Perry and Kesha than Green Day and Shinedown. I think my Indie Cred Card may be taken away. (if I'm ever stranded on a desert island, and my options are Green Day or Katy Perry, it's Katy all the way.)
3. They're doing something to the back porches (with no warning. Great job, management company), so all of the back doors have those easel things from road work in front of them so we can't leave that way. This means leaving by the front door and having to go around the back. Not so fun when you're hauling groceries, laundry or trash.
4. I have had my bi-annual Crystal Singer, Killashandra and Crystal Line re-read, and while I still <3 Killashandra a lot, my antipathy towards Lars Dahl grows every time he shows up in the latter book. He is Always Right, and ridiculously paternalistic towards the woman who's his lover, and it's enough to almost make me throw the book at the wall. Some of that tone was in the first two (men being Always Right), but it wasn't so blatant. It probably doesn't help that parts of CL feel rushed, and there's a whole interesting sub-plot about memory and how it shapes us that is basically ignored in favor of "Killashandra realizes the Error of her Ways and Worries About Lars and How she can be Worthy of Him". Bleh.
5. whoops, out the door I go.
