1. I will officially be out of Blake's 7 after today. *flails*

2. I had a filling done yesterday. My jaw is still sore. *grumbles*

3. I dreamt there was Blake's 7 wank posted of FW, and it revolved around Paul Darrow. I was very disappointed this morning to discover it wasn't true. (it was a fairly elaborate dream, with two or three posts about stuff, and I got name-checked by someone at one point, which weirded me out) (I blame the Stargate wank that's on there at the moment)

4. The entitlement in that SG wank is a beautiful sight to behold, if a little sobering, since the people being abused are, y'know, apologizing for being so horrible as to write about the cult Clan of Mitchell. (no, sorry, it still reads as a frelling cult)

Oh man that wank is epic. I mean, I sure get being upset when people diss/interpret very differently my favorite characters- I'm honestly still freaked out about a fic someone wrote for twelvecolonies where Dexter from Dexter tortured and killed Gaius partly because of the Genocide that was admittedly yes his fault but not really intentionally, but mostly because Laura didn't like him (I'm also saddened by the nonstop airlock jokes.) It makes me sad that not everyone sees what happened in the show the way I see it.

But I pout and ask (hopefully) politely and reasonably if the jokes will stop because in a public, large multifandom setting they're not that nice (though another setting is totally fine for something like that!), not have a ginormous and very public hissy fit. There's hate in those words in a really intense, scary way.

That whole wank is terribly disorienting to me, because in the current configuration of my brain, Cam is Cam, and Mitchell is a vampire who lives in a pink house. (Who also has a cult, founded primarily on Aidan's hotness, which is irritating but inevitable.)

That is a whole lot of wank going on. Epic wank is epic. I've lost hours to reading this one, because it's so diverse, everything from batshit rage to racism to history lessons. And I'm not sure it's slowing down yet, since when I stopped reading yesterday it was at 1,800+ comments and it's now at 2,200+. O_o

What I'm wondering as this thing progresses is... if one fic portraying their characters in a way they do not appreciate is enough to bring this whole crazy house of cards crashing down... have they just never received any honest feedback before? Or were they somehow smart enough to keep these fics away from general public viewing... but somehow not smart enough to put a 'please do not post fic bashing these characters' into the comm info? It's baffling.
