The Brew has switched formats. It's now trying to be Kiss FM. wtf, 97.3, wtf.
The thing is, I remember when The Brew switched off from being whatever it was before (jazz, maybe?), and so this is sort of a milestone. I've been here long enough that a radio station has come and gone. How weird is that? (102.1's shenanigans don't count and Lazer 103 flipped before I moved)
It is at least nice to know I won't suffer that obnoxious morning show anymore. I bet they'll get a NEW obnoxious one.

I did used to like morning shows. And the 102.1 is two basement dwelling mouth-breathing geek boys, which is occasionally entertaining.

Gah, morning shows! *hands* I was so angry when The Brew started with Connie and Fish in the morning. The whole point of listening to a Milwaukee station was avoiding the Demented Twins (they're out of Z104 in Madison). Now I listen to 94.5 The Lake, which plays everything and has no morning show. Just music. :D

I wasn't, like, fond? of the original morning show, but Connie and Fish made me want to punch them.
The Lake is pretty awesome, all round, considering the variety they manage. Now, if they'd just stop telling us how awesome they are.

LOL Yeah The Lake is pretty full of itself.

Personally, I like having my mp3 player, or tapes. =D

There's a station out here that does the "no DJs, 3 commercials every half hour/hour, just music" thing. It amuses me that they apologize for having to have those 3 commercials before they play them. And apparently they have this online app thing that lets listeners make the playlist. I'd look at it, but I'm too happy with my mp3s to care that much.
