Well, that might have taken time away from the "men conference about having forcible sex with native women" moments.

And Zarek. But yes, lots more color. :((

hello there! we don't whine! we are just vocal in our hurt feelings.

speaking only for myself however I think the secondary female characters got shafted. Alright thedir deaths were more graphic (imho)but it was like * He I know lets kill off all the strong women other than LR and make then big whiners.

See now I'm whinging!

season three would be very colorful. Off-hand, the dead:

Sam Anders, Felix Gaeta, Hillard (to echo Barolay's inclusion), Fisk (he was in Razor, iirc--or Garner?), Tom Zarek, Fours, Ones, Fives, Skulls.

The alive?

William Adama, Lee Adama, Saul Tigh, Hot Dog, Galen Tyrol, Leoben, Romo Lampkin, Louis Hoshi, Karl Agathon, Gaius Baltar... there are probably more I'm forgetting.

(also, I missed putting Erin Matthias on my collage. damn)

*sobs* *huggles my way-too-awesome-for-your-canon ladies*

Also...I love how Roslin and Racetrack have a teensy bit of color, as they were thisclose to making it:)

It truly is one of the most depressing things about BSG. So many women, so many of them dead. It's ridiculous.

Hah! That was me being lazy about how much white I cleared from the layer. Whoops.

Sad but true:(

No 'whoops'. It looks awesome either way:)

Crazy thing is though, even Ellen died. I mean yea she came back, and got a happy ending, but still dead For a good portion of the show. Both Athena and Six died too, but never for very long.

Oh, yes.

Ellen was murdered by her husband AND Cavil, but ended up alive.

Caprica was killed in the blast, murdered by a Doral and ended up alive.

Athena was shot by her husband.

At least Gaius only shoved a metaphorical knife in Caprica's heart.

Yeah, but according to canon, they didn't want to make babies, so that meant that...well, except for Cally who was already a Mom...and Dee who obviously wanted a happy domestic life with her husband...oh, and for sure Boomer...and of course, we never got to know what Kat, Jean, Maggie and Natalie wanted...sooo...yeeeah, that doesn't work either...

Sheesh, no matter how you look at it, even in the most perversely warped way, the writers come off as idiots. :(

Once again, S4 just DOESN'T WORK, thus it is NOT canon. ;)

I'm beginning to agree with you. Season four is an AU of "how bad it could have been".

HA! Your subject line just made me think of Blazing Saddles, "Let me just whip this out..." (Which kind of plays into the gender issues thing. But I digress.)

I never thought about if Seelix survived Daybreak. I know they pulled all the jailed folks from the mutiny into service.

Okay now I want a fic about dealing with being the last one standing.

Sigh. But this is so sad! I keep trying to get my roomie to watch the show by telling her how feministically awesome it is. Now I have to shut up. I can't believe that the only women who survive are robots.

That hurts. :-(
