Obviously, it's invisible fairies. And they're taunting her when no one else is around.

Maybe the floor has one of those Magic Eye 3D pictures and she's one of those people like me who try for AGES because dammit, they can SEE it, it's there, I caught a glimpse, if I just try harder it'll resolve...

Well, animals are rather disturbingly aware...I don't know if you ever read that story in the Bible about this jerk guy Balaam who was riding a donkey to go make a deal with the Israelite's enemies, and an Angel kinda' "landed" in front of them on the road and the donkey could see it even though the guy couldn't and got freaked out and tried to turn around, so the guy got ticked off and started hitting it, and so the Angel made it where it could talk back to him, and then appeared to the guy and told him off that he WAS just gonna' kill him, but his donkey stopped and actually saved him...

Might not want to go in the kitchen when she's doing that is all I'm sayin'...:P
