Ooooh, these little earthquakes....

1. Broke 10,000 words in the twelvecolonies challenge. \o/ (it's been moving faster since I realized I can dispense with large swathes of canon)

2. However, naming Cylons never gets any easier.

So, if anyone has names for Twos, Eights, Sixes, Fours and Fives that aren't their designations, or any of the names they've had in canon, now would be the time to offer them up. Ones aren't particularly individualistic, and also, annoying. So I don't care about them.

I thought Cynthia would be a good name for an Eight.

I go to those babyname sites and google name meanings. Yeah, that's... kinda weird, isn't it?

I like mythological names for them, Greek in particular- my favorite Six name is Leda, who I believe is the one who scores Baltar during the mutiny arc. But they seem to have a lot of place names as well- I believe Leoben and Doral are both cities so any city names that sound like people names might work well for the men.

Actually her name was Lida, which is Czech for "noble kind". Not that it was mentioned onscreen, anyway.

I thought it was probably from the Greek myth, Lida and the Swan, about the woman that was raped by Zeus in the form of a swan.

That's Leda.

I kind of like Sibyl for a Six, for some reason.

You could name a Six or an Eight Jo.

Sorry, I've hit the depression portion of grieving Ms Harvelle. It's just as bad as it was after Sam and the BSG finale.

I can definitely see an Eight named Jo.

Twos: Gerald, Laurence, Warren, Bob*
Fours: Terence, Jim, Blake, Tom, Patrick
Fives: David (or Dave), Anton, Sean, Alex
Sixes: Beth, Carolyn, Vera, Denise, Adele
Eights: Cassie, Martha, Julie, Megan, Suzanne

* For some bizarre reason, I just love the idea of a Two named Bob.

Outlaw might have accidentally just named a pilot Two Sharkbait.

Well I would suggest Mr. Peabody, but that will only work when they make a Dog model to fool Jake into giving them Romo's secret about how the hell he knew so much about all of them...:P
