I'd say... give 'em a chance? They aren't awful, and they're mindless popcorn fluff along the lines of Supernatural and Psych, really.
Cally/Leela is Cally from Blake's 7 and Leela from Doctor Who, yup. =D
eta: also, Avon would eat wee!Cally from BSG for breakfast, though he'd appreciate her electrical/mechanical skills.
