bleh. morning.

1. I have run out of Torchwood to listen to, as I plowed through both seasons last week. This saddens me, though I'm certainly not going to listen to season one again, if I can help it. Most of it's not bad, except for Combat, which is execrable. I don't remember it being that bad, but my memory is faulty, as OMG SO BAD. Also, End of Days... Fails. Like, I spent the whole episode going, "This would be better if Jack were in a coma or captured and thus unable to act like an entitled douche."

2. Curiously, Cyberwoman and Cap'n Jack are two episodes that work well in audio form. As does the fairies episode. Of course, that bit where Myfanwy is, um, y'know, in CW is a bit gross to listen to.

3. Speaking of fairies, someone needs to write a BSG AU where Hera is a changeling and the fairies are coming for her.

4. I know this is weird, but I think the thing I love best about TW is how they can't solve everything. Sometimes, even when they do, their actions have consequences, or make things worse. It's an entirely human trait and one which I don't see all that often in televised SF. I'd hate TW if they were constantly, smarmily saving the day and Always Right.

5. *cuts paragraph* I need to ramble about TW when I'm not sleepy.

6. Brains.

I love it when my heroes are losers. The earliest memory I have of Star Trek is City on the Edge of Forever. The first M*A*S*H episode I audiotaped was the one when Trapper John's patient dies and Hawkeye's girl won't marry him (and my favorite character was the one who died the next season). My first Doctor Who was a segment of Genesis of the Daleks including the "Have I the right?" scene.
