Gee, thanks.
I went in for a dental cleaning yesterday and was told that my teeth are healthy (yay), but that I still need a bridge to take the place of the giant hole in my mouth.
When she checked my insurance, the office manager told me that since it only went into effect after they pulled the tooth, the hole is considered a pre-existing condition. If I want them to cover even PART of the charge, I have to wait three years.
My insurance through Accountemps has CHANGED ONCE A YEAR FOR FOUR YEARS. In three years, IT WILL HAVE CHANGED AGAIN.
So, to everyone who thinks universal healthcare is evil? FUCK YOU. I don't know that I'd get a bridge in six months. But three years? Three years wherein the wear pattern will deteriorate and the molar below will slowly erupt? Yeah. It's bullshit. And it's allowed because there is no. fucking. alternative here in America.
And I'm sorry, but I don't happen to have 3,000 lying around to spend on my teeth. Maybe if they refund the money they've taken out over the last four years?
