tgif. really. also, new roommate

1. [livejournal.com profile] timjr moves in today. I work. sigh.

2. I found scene pieces for the bsg season 4.5 rewrite last night while cleaning my desk. They are now in the file, yay.

3. I also found the following snippet:
"This is a very interesting conversation," Gaius said, "but I don't think I'm quite the person you're looking for."
"No," admitted Barbossa before he faded neatly from sight.
It was to be expected, really, though the others stayed where they were, substantial and yet curiously not. "As long as we're clear," Gaius looked around at them, talking more the form than because he wanted to tell them things, "none of you are real."
"Not even you?" suggested Calypso, stepping out from the pack. There was laughter and mockery in her voice; and something else that made Gaius's skin crawl, just a little.

Which begs the questions: dream? was Calypso searching for cylons? or was this an offer to make Baltar immortal whilst taking the souls of the dead?

4. I... need to put my socks and boots on.

5. There is a pyramid ball flirting around on Parker (my laptop).

The changing face of my flist: When your excerpt narration spoke of Gaius I was thinking Merlin.

Hah. I didn't know Merlin had a Gaius.

The wise old mentor of Merlin the teenaged survivor of Krypton wizard is named Gaius. Why they didn't use the name Blaise from the sources instead, I don't know. It's their only deviation from the sources that bothers me.

I'm so gleeful about [livejournal.com profile] timjr moving in with you two. Now I can talk to ALL THREE OF YOU AT THE SAME TIME simply by pinging one of you on AIM!

THIS IS SO VERY TRUE. Since we are insanely annoyingly chatty at each other at times.

Rewrite. Mmmm. That sounds so good.

Finale of BSG worst ending in sci fi history, y/y?

I am torn. Because I liked large portions of it (<3 explosions). otoh. All the fail fail fail bits. Sigh.

But, yeah. I basically hated large swathes of 4.5 and thought it basically killed all the good parts of BSG (which was always sort of cracktastic to begin with), and thought there were half a dozen plotlines they could have done that would have been way more interesting.

Cutting 100% of Baaaaaaaaawwwdama out would have helped, too.
