women! lots of them, hbic?

1. THIS JUST IN. Women who have boyfriends are bad role models. (fail, [livejournal.com profile] fandomsecrets commenters, fail)

2. On a recent note, there's apparently been some fail regarding the Head Bitch in Charge contest that was raging. Allie has a sort of solution over here. (srsly. boys are winning? Fail again) (am not linking to poll, but to intelligent people)

However, [livejournal.com profile] life_on_queen who has discovered I was Catholic in another life, suggested perhaps we should encourage more conversation/fic/meta/etc about the lovely women in question.

The problem is, the only thing I had on the brain this morning was the 1001 Orgasm Challenge. It's easy to discard the orgasm part and reinsert something else. Like, say, ficlets, drabbles, pieces of art, meta, picspams.... And now I'm sincerely certain that I am insane for even contemplating something like this (drabble tag on ACID).

3. This is still in the planning stages, but here's sort of how it might work:
People comment with a prompt, someone writes them the prompt and leaves one of their own.
Someone makes art of the original prompt.
Someone else writes up meta on the third prompt, and someone else picspams on prompt number eight--
But to make it even more confusing, anyone can leave a prompt or a list of fic recs for a certain character/group of characters or a link to someone else's picspam...

The post stays open until one of two things:
People get bored and wander away.
Comments get maxed out.

If I haven't reached 1001, I'm opening a new post.

Open to all fandoms, all women, femslash, het, friendship, gen, romance, blah, etc...

Limited by no rape/non-con/incest, with a request for spoiler warnings as needed.

um. so.

Am I insane?

Of course you are. But that's why we love you. <3

Go for it. :) I'm useless as a participant though :P

I'm so glad I didn't get involved with the HBIC poll thing - I heard about the fail the other day and good grief that is some super special fail there. Ew.

So like a drabble tree, except people can answer the prompts with fic or art or picspams or meta or just link to something cool about the character or pairing? I APPROVE.

I voted for a few out of amusement, but, um, have been sort of busy writing porn and crack to bother.

YES. YES, THAT. <3 <3 <3

#1 - Do I even want to know? LJ's been making me ill enough the past few days.

There was possibly a point about the lack of non-hooked-up-women being portrayed, BUT THAT DOES NOT MATTER. Women can be happy and kickass, TOO.

THAT. Now if only the writers would realize this, yes? I'm trying not to think about how a large bit of the BSG Gender Fail happened in the context of relationships. (This is also why Kara/Sam is the MOST AWESOME SHIP EVER because Kara managed to be one of the few women the writers didn't sacrifice on the altar of a relationship.)

A question I will NEVER EVER know the answer to, sadly.

1). I can't find this secret. Or the related wank. Link, please? Or even a number. :)

3). Oh! *anticipates*

I do not remember what day it was, but someone posted about movie Uhura being their role model, and the comments were basically, "But she didn't have the right kind of screen-time, so she's a bad example"
