In a roundabout way...

Apparently the newest SG movie is going to be about Jack, with Sam/Jack in it. I may have to go poking teh list

merrykk informed me of this, and there was a bit of discussion in the comments and I made the off-hand comment about writing 100+ Sam/Jack fics (which I have), which led to me poking my site at work and then deciding to re-read mini!OTP fic.

Which led to suckering palmetto into reading it. (I tossed Christi's at her, as am evil)

Which, in turn, led to her lamenting the lack of mini!Vala and mini!Cam and the distinct lack of lots of mini!Teal'c.

It also led me to the post with the comment-thread where Little Red dubbed me ALC Punk! (warning for mini!OTP and adult!Sam/Jack fic of a silly nature)

Which is all a roundabout way of saying, we should have a mini!ficlet-a-thon. Or something. Because there has been a lack of silliness and teenage angst.

And also?

Then I can write mini!BSG.

I haven't even seen the first two they did, and I have copies of BOTH.

That is an admirable combination of franchise loyalty and geriatric franchise apathy. (I rather liked Stargate: Continuum myself. Vala isn't in it much, but Quetesh is. And there's some pretty thick Sam/Jack subtext at the beginning, if you're still into that sort of thing.)

I'd like to see any Jack/Sam that just affirms that they've been boinking all this time ever since she broke off her engagement and he changed assignments. The subtext is there, man.
