Oh, hey...

NCIS thing-a-thon, this month's theme is the women of NCIS. Prompt submission closes tomorrow I could only come up with so many prompts for the more obscure girls.

I might have to try writing something for that. *licks the women*

Though I find it annoying that Gibbs and DiNozzo each had one month for just themselves, but the women all get shoved together? OTOH, maybe that makes sense for this particular fandom (i.e., there'd not be enough fics otherwise b/c fandom is dumb), though I have doubts. On the plus side, the women are awesome, so a chance to write several of them is always yay.

*sucks at coming up with prompts, though* *ponders this*

I find it highly annoying, but I imagine there'd be less interest if they did it a month per woman. There's barely any prompts as it is.

sometimes, i really hate people

Song lyrics? Random items on your desk?

Am I imagining things or does NCIS seem fond of killing off it's primary female characters more often than it's male characters?

Yes. Though, to be honest, they've killed some of the men, too. (I'm hoping Mike Franks will die soon, he's annoying)

I'd like to say it isn't as bad as it could be, but it is very annoying and pointless.

They tend to kill male characters who've been around for a couple of weeks, though, total redshirts. Although one of them did seem to be a Guy in a Refrigerator, at least, so it's not only the girls they put in the refrigerators.

Yeah. I'm not defending them, honestly. I do think their track record is skeevy. But at least they're actually putting women front and center, some of the time?
