choose the highest bidder

cut for swearing and crankiness.

You know the person I feel most sorry for in this whole Amazon debacle thing? That poor CS rep who's probably been fired for not asking a higher-up wtf was up with their 'new' system. Because I've been that CS rep, who organized emails and etc. by category (as best I could), and sometimes, sometimes, there IS NO criteria, and your boss? ALSO HAS NO FUCKING CLUE.

There was a whole month where we fielded calls and letters for our suddenly more 'fatty' ground beef. Oh, the horrors that caused the average person in Wisconsin. And during that month, we had no real clue why they'd changed, because those in charge? Didn't give a shit or bother to inform us why. So we had our own sort of babbly-gobbledy-gook to tell people. And even once or twice point-blank said, "I don't know." (I suspect that didn't go over well with the higher-ups.)

In other news, have I mentioned how much I HATE AND LOATHE AND WISH baseball season WOULD DIE? Seriously, if you're one of those people who drives the highway to get to your precious fucking waste of time sports game? I hate you. Seriously. It's fucking shitty enough to see people wasting money on such a pointless thing. But to then also have my drive home time doubled?

Yeah. Not pleased by that.

This. People give CS reps so much shit for things that are NEVER their fault, usually can't do a damn thing about, and god knows they can't control the info the higher ups give/don't give them.

That was one of the main reasons I left my last CS/tech support job.

*nods* And people will say, "Oh, just call the manager" ... we did. The manager has no clue, EITHER.

*snuggles*

It's ok. I'm sorry, too. Hopefully, having gotten my rant off early on, I won't be so bothered (it doesn't help that it actually wasn't all that bad last year, so I felt sort of blind-sided yesterday).

Mostly, I shake my fist at them impotently as I drive.

:::hugs:::

If it makes you feel any better, I've never personally been to Miller Park on a weekday. (Only weekends...) So your traffic jams have never been my fault.

So the practice of the scapegoat continues.

Heh, heh. I've never been keen on sports. Do you think the airways of the Colonies got clogged during Pyramid season?

I assume so, though I doubt the name on the email will be gone (she's probably their head of CS, NOT the lowly peon who sorted out and sent the email).

No idea.

CS rep horror: the people who received their sofa on Xmas Eev and it had the wrong colour scatter cushions! OMG! Their Xmas was ruined! Obviously the local store had closed at lunchtime and we at Head Office were there until 4pm, so guess who got yelled at?

Then again I felt sorry for the woman who'd wanted her twenty-year-old sofa recovered for a big family gathering (I think a death had been involved), and although we still made a sofa of that name and approximate style, the current version was very slightly smaller in all directions. She was very polite, and sent me a gift card (one of two that did, the other was more insane) after I managed to get a new pattern made from her old covers.

Agh.

I once, truefax, ruined a woman's halloween because I could not ship her a costume we had that was out of stock...

This, though? AWESOME. Customers like her rock.

You know, this is why I make it a rule to be polite to CS reps. (Unless they snot at me first, in which case, all bets are off. But that usually doesn't happen.) I know they can't control corporate policy and are oftentimes stuck.

*nods* Yes, exactly. Sigh.
