Sorry, I was handwavingly in a hurry.

The current AU I'm thinking up is based loosely on Noyes' The Highwayman, with Kara as the robber-baron and Sam as the innkeeper's son.

Unfortunately, Snow Patrol apparently inspires fic about this AU that is... um. Porny.

And it was 'Crack the Shutters' that got me (that whole album makes me bounce a bit, too).
