hecatesknickers is to blame. No title, I don't think.
The first time it happened, Sam didn't notice, and Kara was too preoccupied with chasing him through the trees of virgin forest somewhere on 'Earth'. Besides, the amount of sunlight filtering through the trees wasn't really that great.
The second time, Kara was flat on her back in a field, her eyes closed as the sun came up. The warm morning breeze tickled her skin as the dew slowly dried away.
"Hey, Kara?"
"Hrm?"
Sam's lanky form dropped down next to her and he gave her a quick kiss before stretching out to enjoy the sun, too.
In the ensuing silence, she almost forgotten he'd said anything.
"Our skin," Sam said, fingers tangling with hers, "It's... sort of bright."
"Mmf." replied Kara.
Apparently deciding she wasn't going to reply, Sam tugged at her hand, "We should get under the trees so we don't burn."
Kara didn't open her eyes until they're flopped down again, Sam's hands groping their way under her shirt.
The third time it happened, Kara was chasing Sam again, right out into the open field.
Kara blinked, as he glanced back at her, and rubbed her eyes. Breaking out into the sunlight made her blink again as the sudden glare hurt a bit more than she'd expected. She reached up to rub her eyes again and found that her hand was shining brightly.
"What the frak?"
"I tried to tell you earlier," Sam said, coming back towards her, sauntering in a way that made her fingers want to be dragging through his hair while she straddled him.
"We sparkle, Sam," she informed him, half in disbelief, half in amusement.
"So I see--" moving, he scooped her up, then stumbled when she resisted the move.
A moment later, they were tangled in the grass, Kara giggling as she discovered that, yes, indeed, Sam sparkled everywhere.
"Mmm." She kissed his neck, then teased, her hands busy, "Do I dazzle you, Sammy?"
He groaned, "Gods, yes, baby."
