*admires slightly improved icon*

(though I've no idea, as my monitor isn't so good at telling good from bad anymore)

Y'all, I honestly can't believe this, but, seriously? For really real? If you actually say to my face that Dirk Benedict has any sort of point?

You are very obviously talking to the wrong person.

I've had TWO PEOPLE actually say something to that effect to me in the last day. And no. No he doesn't have a point, he is not right, and agreeing with him loses you any respect I had for you.

eta: And things like this are why I want to kill people with my mind. (contains vague spoiler for BSG finale)

That blogger is an idiot she obviously thinks she is the center of the unviverse now she actually thinks Katee has posted in the comments even though the eh? in the post clearly indicates this person is probably Canadian I may actually go there and tell her to grow up. Her reaction to my post oalone might be worth total dumb mall rat hissyfit. It had me laughing my ass off.

[identity profile] ebneter.livejournal.com 2009-03-19 01:39 am (UTC)(link)
It's better than that: The person she thinks is Katee is Shayna, aka [livejournal.com profile] greycoupon.

Apparently she didn't get the memo that Katee never reads or responds to anything on the web...

We are ALL KATEE.

Heh. Yeah, I just wish I didn't think a lot of people thought that way.

[identity profile] scifiaddict86.livejournal.com 2009-03-19 02:55 am (UTC)(link)
Okay I'm gonna go tell to grow up cuz it'll be fun and I 'm in the mood for a good fight

[identity profile] greycoupon.livejournal.com 2009-03-19 05:45 am (UTC)(link)
I must confess my deep dark sekrit...

I am in fact Katee Sackhoff. Yes, I just clean up REALLY WELL.

*boggles off to bed*

[identity profile] scifiaddict86.livejournal.com 2009-03-19 04:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Should I feel bad for saying everything I've wanted to say the the K/L meanies to some dumb kid? You know what I don't care, its fun and someone obviously needs to tell this bitch to grow up in fact I may have done mankind a service.

He has a point. Right on the top of his head. (Srsly, dude, QUIT STOMPING ON MY EARLY-ADOLESCENT SQUEE. Just. Arg.)

As for the link... how DARE she not know every tiny detail of the big picture of a job she finished almost two years ago? The NERVE! *eyeroll*

*snerk* I am sorry!

I would like to find out it is parody, but, sadly... Sigh.
ext_5608: (facepalm)

[identity profile] wiliqueen.livejournal.com 2009-03-19 02:31 am (UTC)(link)
Not your fault, but the sympathy is appreciated.

Is it bad that I kinda want to become fannish-faymuss just to see what sort of batshit things people will do with what I say at cons?

Most actors, from what I've seen, don't know everything about their own roles, let alone other people's roles on the show. Not to mention that actors seem to have great fun at cons (or appearances) by acting a little manic.

[identity profile] lyssie.livejournal.com 2009-03-19 02:07 am (UTC)(link)
This, exactly. Hell. Most FANS can't keep it all straight. Sheesh. I'm suddenly reminded of Shatner's SNL skit...

[identity profile] endlesswonder.livejournal.com 2009-03-19 01:59 am (UTC)(link)
It's her big-picture thinking that impresses me most.

The storyline she was most excited to see revealed? Seriously? Not Kara's true identity? Not whether or not they find a habitable planet? Not the fate of Hera or the rescue mission or ALL OF HUMANITY? Yeah, fuck the epic, six-years-in-the-making human/Cylon race conflict, I'm just dying to see how that threesome turns out.

*sporks*

YES. We all know Starbuck's vajayjay is the most important spoiler of all.

[identity profile] sabaceanbabe.livejournal.com 2009-03-19 02:30 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, and don't forget, she thinks Lee/Kara could have been the first Human/Cylon pairing to save... the future of the... Frak. Never mind.

[identity profile] endlesswonder.livejournal.com 2009-03-19 03:35 am (UTC)(link)
OH YES. The sex is THAT good. She's so painfully stupid it's almost funny.

Because Sharon and Helo? Do not exist!

Love the new icon and even though i don't watch BSG and hated old BSG (and cannot explain how irritated the old series used to make me) i do like Katee.
Maybe this is the kind of fan the new "Syfy" wants :P

[identity profile] mfirefly10.livejournal.com 2009-03-19 02:33 am (UTC)(link)
*shakes head* people that idiotic should have their laptops taken away so they can't inflict their stupidity on others. And seriously...if that's the storyline you wanted to see resolved the most...that's just kind of...pathetic:) I mean, I love my 'ships but I realize that there is more to the show than who my fav. characters are frakking.

[identity profile] meganbmoore.livejournal.com 2009-03-19 02:50 am (UTC)(link)
I had someone spend over an hour explaining how he totally wasn't sexist, and enything I said to the contrary was calling the person saying that to me sexist.

[identity profile] lizardbeth-j.livejournal.com 2009-03-19 03:01 am (UTC)(link)
I'M BEING DENIED MY WHITE PICKET FENCE AND TOW-HEADED BABIES! WAAAAAAAA!
pathetic.

And I like your improvement - very appropriate!

[identity profile] rosewildeirish.livejournal.com 2009-03-19 03:01 am (UTC)(link)
...wow, what is she? 13?

[identity profile] lesbiassparrow.livejournal.com 2009-03-19 03:41 am (UTC)(link)
That link is all sorts of special. That's a pretty big sense of entitlement right there.

Also, random note: when I interviewed for the job I have now, KS was on the flight. Probably coming back from a depraved visit to her LA boyfriend THE SHAMELESS HUSSY.

Dirk Benedict and Ann Coulter should just run off and set up their own sexist, hatefilled society and stop tormenting the rest of us with their inanity.

HOLY SHIT, DID "SHAYNA" JUST GET CALLED A SOCKPUPPET FOR KATEE SACKHOFF?!

(dies laughing)

[identity profile] greycoupon.livejournal.com 2009-03-19 05:37 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I did. What a day for me!

[identity profile] prozacpark.livejournal.com 2009-03-19 04:25 am (UTC)(link)
I mostly think it's completely irrelevant whether Dirk Benedict has a point or not. Until he learns to express that point without fifteen (or any!) layers of misogyny, he doesn't deserve to be heard. And, well, I wish this law applied to everyone ever, and then people would learn to censor their fucking misogyny and I wouldn't have to deal with it. And that's possibly what pisses me off the most: that somehow it's okay to present an argument with a side of that much misogyny, and people are willing to say, "Well, not the misogynist bits, but the rest of it makes sense?" So while it doesn't condone the misogyny, it still says that it is OKAY to have that there...as long as you also have a point. Sigh. And...it'd be one thing if this were just him, but this issue is so much bigger and it just depresses me.

And as someone who mostly watched this last half to see Kara interacting with Sam everyone, I must say that I totally don't consider shippy bits to be spoilery? They're something I often actively spoil myself for even when I'm taking pains to avoid spoilers. They contribute to my enjoyment of the show but not at all to how much I like an episode. IDK. I don't get all the drama over these 'spoilers.'

[identity profile] wiliqueen.livejournal.com 2009-03-19 03:38 pm (UTC)(link)
"Well, not the misogynist bits, but the rest of it makes sense?"

WHAT rest of it??? Not that your point wouldn't stand if there were a rest of it, because it totally would. But I certainly couldn't find it. I'd love to know where other people are. (And by "love" I kinda mean "beat my head against a rock until unconscious.")

[identity profile] prozacpark.livejournal.com 2009-03-20 04:02 am (UTC)(link)
I wouldn't know, and the need to bash my head against rocks is exactly why I'm not even going to attempt to wade through that much misogyny to find a point, whether it's Benedict who doesn't have one or Freud who might have had one. :)

[identity profile] alryssa.livejournal.com 2009-03-19 06:02 am (UTC)(link)
SYFILIS. It should be a new LJ interest.

[identity profile] crazedturkey.livejournal.com 2009-03-19 08:52 am (UTC)(link)
hahahah.

Wow the entitlement is hilarious.
