They're calling themselves 'syfy', now, in hopes that geeks will run away and, um, real people will watch wrestling and reality tv? I guess?

IDK. This is the channel that gave Ron Moore another show to write about angsty white men.

What is really sad is that they so much money on polls and buying out SyFy Portal and didn't check for the other possible meanings of the word. After seeing how many people on the internets made a connection with syphilis I'm surprised noone in their group made it too. Not to mention that in Polish it also means mess, filth and crap and such things get around on the WORLD wide web. There's no way people won't know it if it's on wikipedia (http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/syf). They are just asking for being made fun of. It's like sticking 'Kick me' sign on themselves.
