this... Is probably good. Today, however, is a Monster and buy more books day.

I ripped through Elizabeth Moon's Trading in Danger pretty fast. Unfortunately, the book doesn't so much end as stop abruptly (and there's one or two logistical issues that get rather hand-waved towards the end and leave you going, "but..."). Despite the cover, I have gleefully cast Kandyse McClure as wee Kylara Vatta. Quincy is Whoopi Goldberg, and I'm waffling on Mehar (also, Ky and Mehar were practicing shooting weapons together, and I'm certain Moon didn't intend for me to ship them, and yet. Oh, girls and guns. <3)

There was also a Cally. She was a mercenary. Given that this was written before the BSG mini (or a bit before it came out, I'd imagine), there is only one conclusion to draw: obviously, Cally is Jan Chappel.

When I get home tonight I'm going to make myself finish editing and post the fics that have been languishing due to purimgifts and other things. (also, go read and feedback people over there, tsk)

I've got (and read) pretty much the entire Vatta's War series. And yeah, the endings are ... er ... not really endings, per se. That's one of my few complaints.
