meme time: sentences!
Or, in my case, paragraphs. I had to pick and choose and left some stuff out that... was bad, yes.
Anyway!
35 sentences/paragraphs from unfinished fics that I've got lurking about that... should be finished, yes. And no, they aren't all BSG. Most aren't even porn.
1. The sensation of being upside-down and the wrong way around made Kara swallow something close to a shriek, her arms clamping around his chest, "Sam--"
2. "Did you hear about the baby?" Ishay asked, hands busy with their work. Pulling off the dressing and checking for infection. Her mind was on that, though part of it is focused elsewhere.
3. Lee wondered if she were made of ice, or if the cold of her touch was merely an illusion of his over-heated senses. "Uh, Darla, I, I don't--"
4. "No one. As the duly-elected representative of the colonies, it's my pleasure to inform you, Captain Thrace, that you have been raised to the rank of Commander--an Admiral has more than one ship--of the fleet." Lee shifted, "Now, until such time as you have finished your sentence for insubordination, you'll just have to command from the brig. Commander."
5. But Kat sings ribald songs at her in the head and Maggie sometimes finds herself turning red all over when they catch each others' eye in the cafeteria.
6. Outlaw woke up with a hangover and the disctinct feeling that she was missing something about her circumstances as she climbed over Racetrack and made a dash for the head.
7. The cell and its occupants were silent for a moment, then Hera gave a terrified little noise and threw herself at Caprica's legs.
8. "I killed a man," Kara says, late one night when they're the only two awake. It's a tiny town, middle of nowhere, but the locals like the music and their feet like the rest, not to mention the local brew.
9. In the tank, the man's eyes opened wide and he stared at her, "Kara Thrace," there was something frightened in his face, "This was not how it was supposed to go."
10. Sam's hefting a body up when someone joins him. He thinks it's Kenzy until he turns his head and catches sight of an Eight. On reflex, his hand goes for his side-arm.
Non-BSG
11. Terminus is never quiet. Even at night, when it should be, the metal creaks and pops. Small sounds that become routine background noise after Nyssa's been there for a week.
12. It's not till later, when she's curled up on a feather mattress (feathers! after years of sleeping bags and the occasional straw-filled contrivance, and she always wondered if she should have stayed with Peladon--no doubt, he had feather beds) that she wonders if Cliff would have understood the house on Allen Road.
13. It wasn't that Scicluna exactly lied. She'd just left a few things out. Rose stared up at the ceiling from her position on the mat and wondered if she could hurt worse than she did now.
14. Grace tried to fight the ready smile that came to her lips in answer to his unending cheer. She felt the corners of her mouth turn up and tried to sustain her irritation. "Really, Doctor."
15. Thomas Strauss looks up from where he stands, gives her a tired smile, "Such sad circumstances occlude our every meeting, McDonagh."
16. Jo prefered blaming Roper for the table. "You should'a known," she said as she climbed to her feet, wincing a little at the splinters now in her ass.
17. "I heard from Harry a couple months ago," she abruptly said, changing the subject. "He's off on another oil rig, says he's getting tired more easily, but he's still spry for an old navy doc."
18. The first time Sarah truly understood the regenerative properties of the nano-technology she'd been infested with, she'd been pushing herself on the treadmill, trying to out-distance a cheetah while they took bio-rhythm readings and measured all sorts of shit.
19. Marion Ravenwood has no idea if the slightly-slurred words are condemnation or compliment. A glance at the blonde in red, though, makes her pause. She's always had a weak spot for blondes. "Should I get you a table to fall under or a drink?"
20. We were ten miles out of Vancouver when the fog began to take hold.
21. "Let me get this straight," Kitty looked away from him, noticing that the diners *didn't* notice them, or see them. They glanced at other tables, but not this one. "You're influencing all of their minds."
22. "Precisely. And while we've talked boys, gabbed about other people, visciously gossipped, and even gone to a few clubs, it's just not enough." The red-haired telepath smiled sunnily. "You need to get laid."
Crossovers
23. "It was her--" Caprica made another circuit of the small room, her movements precise, though her hands were another matter. "Shit."
24. This was insane. Dee was going insane. Or already was insane. Her brain had conjured up this crazy woman to talk nonsense at her and pretty soon, it would all be over and she would have passed... into where? There was something at the back of her mind, something about Lee. His speech had been brilliant, that she remembered, with a flicker of a smile across her lips.
25. Everyone knew you didn't schedule Starbuck and Longshot on the same CAP. But sometimes, Racetrack had no choice. As CAG, she'd gotten good at juggling shedules, at making certain all the bases were covered, all the paperwork was filed, and most people were happy.

27. Teal'c fired up and over his cover, aiming fairly accurately for a man who couldn't look to see what he was shooting at.

29. "A mutant computer hacker. Lousy taste in clothes." Cordelia was scrawling something on a card. "And she probably owes you."
Stargates
30. When Sam Carter got out of this, Daniel Jackson was going to pay. Possibly with his soul, if he still had one. Not that she thought she did either, but that was beside the point.
31. "I don't know wormholes from higher math!" Cameron yelled, "C'mon, D, back me up on this."
32. "Carter." Jack O'Neill's voice drew him from his own pain, as he watched the younger man holding his hands over the gaping hole in her side. "Carter, you gotta stay awake. Talk to me, damnit."
33. Sam catches herself thinking about Vala's lips. It's not anything huge. And, usually, she completely ignores it in favor of continuing to do whatever she's in the middle of: writing notes, working out mission specs, giving a debriefing to SG-14. There's no rhyme or reason to the thoughts.
34. Laura swallowed, and then regretted it as the taste of blood coated her throat. "Pinpoint my location and send a security detail. And Dr. Beckett." Great. Carson was not the person she wanted to see at this time of the morning.
35. Teyla still occasionally shivered, when recalling Elizabeth's bold move to put herself at the mercy of the Genii. It had been worth it, for the explosive device they'd received, but it could have ended so badly for her.
